Hullo, hullo friendly faces! Happy Sunday to ya! π
How’s your weekend been so far? Mine’s been… cold. I had all sorts of plans to spend the weekend on the slopes, but freezing my face off in -20ΒΊC weather didn’t really sound like a good time, so instead, I baked…
It’s a rough life π In all seriousness, though, you wouldn’t find me complaining if winter decided to throw in the towel and pack it up early. As much as I enjoy having the snow around when I want to go snowboarding, it doesn’t really do me any good when it’s too cold to enjoy it. Thankfully, temporary relief is close at hand.
Remember how I mentioned that I had something exciting coming up in my last currently post? Time to spill the beans… I’m heading to Hawaii next week to spend time with J! Woo! I’ll never be a fan of these long-distance relationship things, but at least they have some perks. I’d say a little more, but I’m currently too distracted by the Canada – Sweden gold medal hockey game that I woke up at 4:30 AM to watch, so we’ll chat later. In the meantime, enjoy some of these awesome links that I came across this past week… and have an awesome Sunday!
Edited to add: 3 – 0 win for Canada! #GoCanadaGo

Go Sidney Crosby! Pittsburgher here π so I am very excited for Canada today! We had several of our Pittsburgh Penguins on the team and it was exciting to see them win. π
I can’t wait to hear updates from Hawaii, you lucky girl! Enjoy! π
Jan @ sprouts n squats
Your baking efforts looked amazing!!
You are going to love Hawaii if you haven’t been. I highly recommend driving up the North Shore as they have some amazing beaches. If you are game too go skydiving as it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.
Loving all the links, a lot of new to me ones! I loved the look of Sarahs greek yoghurt pancakes though and need to do something about Kim’s tutorial on Rich Pins.
Jenni
Go-to indoor activity is definitely Netflix in bed. π
Jill @ Fitness, Health and Happiness
Great link love this week! Especially the blogging.
Yesterday: Grocery Shopping, mall with my daughter, ran 5 miles
Today: My today was run, P90X3 and meal prep
Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
That’s so exciting about your trip to Hawaii! I’m so jealous. It got nice here this weekend (like +5 degrees!), but it’s going to get super cold again this week. Boo. π
When it’s too cold to go outside I like to bake, read, and marathon through tv shows!
3 things I did yesterday: started watching Breaking Bad, went for a run outside (!), and went to the grocery store.
3 things I did today: watched the game, went out for brunch, and did some reviewing for the start of my new rotation tomorrow.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
+5?! It’s -24 here today π And wasn’t the game fantastic? I had to watch it over the computer because I don’t have cable, but gah!… our boys played so well.
Colleen @ Evolution not Revolution
Oh my goodness that looks absolutely delicious! Makes me wanna work on my baking skills.
Alison @ Daily Moves and Grooves

Ps it’s working in a wifi zone in my office π

How exciting!! Where in Hawaii are you going? Let me know if you’re headed to Maui π either way I’m sure you’ll have an amazing time!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ll be going to Kauai. It was so hard to decide between that and Maui, so I’m thinking O’ll just have to visit again next year π

HAWAII?! SO jealous!! I’m with ya on the freeeezing temps. Snow is pointless if we can’t even go outside! Awesome links, as always! I’ve been eyeing up that mac&cheese since PoY posted it. It looks SO yummy!
Lauren
We should definitely live together during the winter months so we could just bake our lives away. Maybe we could even start a business π It would be seasonal, though, since we both love to be outside in the summer. Lol
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
We could have a lemonade stand in the summer
Lauren
With little no bake treats π π
Marisa @ Uproot from Oregon
You are going to HAWAII!!! How exciting! I am happy you and J get to spend some time together soon in a warm and beautiful place. Congrats on the hockey game- seriously great team. Thanks again for the linkup and for all this reading material today!

I looooove your links! And great job Canada – I’m a Canada fan even though I don’t live there.
Lyric
Bahaha don’t think I didn’t catch that despicable me reference π And I love putting on honey masks! Especially because if it drips it just means I get a little fast of honey. Which now that I say it sounds really gross.. Ah well. And Im glad me and my family aren’t the only ones who got up at the crack of dawn to cheer Canada on! So far they are making that early morning worth it π
PS. I can’t believe you are going to Hawaii!! That is so so so exciting for you and J. And I am trying to hid my jealousy. Good thing Im behind a computer.
Lyric
Grr I mean made my early morning workout. My brain cannot function sometimes.

Oookay, I’ll just pretend you didn’t say anything about Hawaii. Hm, did anybody mention a certain island? Really, though, I hope you and J will have an amazing time, girl! Way to make the best of the inconvenience of a long-distance relationship.
Totally unrelated I’ll take one of whatever you baked – it looks great! Baking – aside from reading in bed – is my go-to cold weather activity.
Happy Sunday!
Megan @ Meg Go Run
That is so exciting you get to go to Hawaii! We are taking our first trip to Hawaii this summer. We will be visiting The Big Island. I am soooo excited. We never went on a big vacation before. π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve never been to the big island before, but Hawaii in general is an absolute dream — you’re going to love it!

Congrats on the gold medal! But more importantly – eeek, how exciting that you are going to Hawaii (and get to spend time with J of course), but beach and sun and Hawaii. Even I get excited over here just thinking about it. Stupid winter.
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
I can’t believe March is next week and you are already off to Hawaii! Awesome, so awesome! Three things yesterday – run, Red Mango, mall….Three things today – run (it was too beautiful out not to run!), prep oatmeal and quinoa for the week and hanging out with my son.
Tiffany @ Snack Snark Bark
Whoa, reading this made me cold! I’m I’m the mountains with my bf so we have a four hour drive to make back to reality. Cooking, working out and cleaning are my go tos when it’s freezing outside. And how fun about Hawaii, tropical vacations are always nice!
Becky @ Olives n Wine
Hawaii?! I’m insanely jealous π Enjoy your time with J! Yesterday: Errands, date night, body pump. Today: Pancake muffin baking, relaxing, prepping for a work week!

My go-to activity when it’s cold outside is definitely cooking/baking… can’t wait for that recipe!
What island(s) are you going to? You’re going to have so. much. fun. Hawaii is beyond amazing if you haven’t went. Shoot me an e-mail if you want some restaurant recommendations. Eat an acai bowl every day for me!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ll be going to Kauai. I went to Oahu last winter, and while it was definitely gorgeous, I wanted something a little less touristy and more wild this time around. Can.not.wait.
Tiffany
Thanks as usual for this great hop and the awesome links. About to check out how to make my morning a great way to start the day π
Nichole

Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Thanks for the link love my dear!! <3 And I'm so jealous of your trip to Hawaii…I could really use an escape from this weather! I've never been a big fan of the season, but this year it's seemed particularly awful. Cannot wait for the weather to warm up.
When it's too cold to go outside, I usually end up reading or playing video games. <— nerdy answer much?
Yesterday: ran errands, took Atti to the dog park, got Quizno's subs for dinner
Today: cleaning, baking, going to the gym.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
You know I’m right there with you on the video games π
Kris
Eeps that’s freeeezing! Stay warm!! And soon enough you’ll be in warm and sunny Hawaii! So exciting π

Oh my goodness!!!!! I’m so jealous… Hawaii is definitely one of those “bucket list” destinations. Thanks so much for sharing my link and have a fabulous Sunday…. stay warm!
Morganne @ NutButterRunner
EEEEK! Have so much fun in Hawaii!! Mega jealous. I would totally meet you there in a heart beat π Ha! Matt and I did the long distance relationship thing too – for about 3-4 years of dating. It’s definitely tough, but makes your relationship so much stronger. There is a lot of trust and faith in a relationship that’s miles apart! So happy you’ll be reunited again soon! Safe travels!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
3-4 years? Eeek. I’ve got another 2 ahead of me and even that feels like forever. It’s always great to hear from people who’ve made it work, though π
Ms.J
Hawaii!? J?! Oooh that sounds just groovy :)..so happy for you Amanda!
Hmmm I wish I could answer that question..but I don’t think I’ve ever been confined indoors for a period of time.
Yesterday: shopping, reading, joined some friends in a game of soccer.
Today: long cold shower (hello another day of summer, after 2 days of winter!), family lunch, office clean-out.
Liz S.
Have a fabulous upcoming trip to Hawaii!!!

Hawaii sounds amazing! I have never been, and would really love to go. Glad you get to spend some time with your man!
My favorite indoor activity when it’s too cold is binging out on Netflix with coffee π
