Heyyyyy hey! Happy Sunday π
How’s your first week of 2014 been? I guess that might not really be a fair question since a lot of us don’t get back into the “real world” until tomorrow, but I need something to open my post with, so we’re going with that π And try not to hate me, but I’m kind of, sort of, maybe looking forward to getting back into a normal routine tomorrow… The first Monday of a new year and the first Monday of being 29? I dig it.
Yessssβ¦ 29. I owe you guys a birthday recap, but that’ll be up tomorrow because today is all about spreading the link love π

Jen @ SavedbytheKale
I haven’t decided yet if I am looking forward to things/schedule getting back to normal this week or not. I feel like it is going to take a few days to get back into the swing of things! I do feel like I have had a very productive start to the new year π

Can’t wait for your bday post π
Davida @ The Healthy Maven

I loved Hungry Runner Girl’s post and I love how she always finds a way to connect it towards running. And I need to try that Dairy Free Pudding recipe because Bananas, cocoa and coconut are 3 of my favourite things! π
Kim @ Racing Bananas
Happy late bday! Jealous of your cake eating today! I’m getting ready to head to a friends to eat some chili and watch the Packer game – also trying not to freeze in this crazy weather!
And dairy free banana chocolate pudding? Yes, please! That recipe is definitely going to be tried – thanks for sharing!
Emma @ Life's A Runner
Happy belated birthday!! Thanks for the blogging tips too – starting out in the beginning, and then restarting can feel super overwhelming sometimes. Those posts were just what I needed. π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Heyyyy girl! I was wondering where you disappeared to! Hope you’re doing well.
Melissa @ Freeing Imperfections
Happy late birthday! I’m also excited to get back into the routine. After so much non-routine for the holidays, some consistency will be nice. Have a great week!

Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
Great links as always. I really appreciated all the blogging specific ones and of course the things you should do in the new year. I love a good resolution. Of course, it’s really just another list, albeit a special list.
Three things I did yesterday: Lord of the Rings with the Hubby, cleaned the house and took down the Christmas decorations. Three things I’m doing today: have a fire, kiss the Hubby goody bye π and work on blogging stuff (i.e. like tomorrows New Year’s Resolution post….which is all over the place because I can’t seem to focus; hmm, probably my sugar sweet breakfast).
I hope you have a great birthday dinner with the family and that your cake is just like you, extra special.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Eat some grounding veggies and get that post up! I’ve missed you in the blog world!!
Miranda @ Lovely Wife Lovely Life
Happy belated birthday! π My green smoothies are always just regular smoothies with spinach added in… which makes them green!
Elise @ 9toFit.com
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY! hope you had a great day! and as always I’m excited to look through some of these links!
Heather @ The Soulful Spoon
Great post as always! I hope you had a lovely birthday!
Thanks for the link on the green smoothies! I’ve been making them for years but am always looking for new tips and tricks. Plus, somehow, I always go a little water heavy, so this was helpful!:)
Have an awesome day love<3
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Well…New Years Day didn’t treat me very kindly, but that’s my own fault π otherwise, so far, so good!
Yesterday: went out for dinner, went to a show downtown, went shopping
Today: Boxing, vacuuming, and getting a french lesson done.
Megan @ Meg Go Run
Thank you for the blogging links. I am working hard to try to make my blog the best that I can with the amount of time I have to put into it. I am currently starting the tedious process of backing up all my blog posts and making sure all my photos are properly sourced, if need be. It is tedious… I wish I had done it “right” from the beginning. I need a good mindless movie to listen to as I undergo this process!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I remember having to go through all those tedious tasks when I was switching my blog over to self-hosting as well… Definitely a pain in the butt, but it feels so good once you get it done π
Carly @ Snack Therapy
Yesterday — Farmer’s Market, start Allegiant, movie night with friends
Today — FINISH ALLEGIANT (!!!), unpack, get ready for the new quarter tomorrow
Thanks for all of the fabulous links, as always!
Molly@This Life Is Sparkling

Enjoy your cake today! “Bake your cake and eat it, too” should be the new saying π
Liz @ Carpe Diem and Run
Love the links π
Becky @ Olives n Wine
Yesterday: kicked booty (mine…) in a bootcamp class, baked some healthy muffins and wished YOU a happy birthday! Today: 3-mile run, watching the snow fall and brunch with my MIL π
Jo @ Living Mint Green
I hope you had the best birthday. It’s -45 with the windchill here and I’m still on a smoothie kick. Hahaha. But, it’s because my stomach has felt incapable of digesting food, so I gotta keep things simple.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I think I’ll just stop complaining about the -35 windchill right now π―
Alex@Veggin' Out
I can’t wait to hear how your birthday went! Crossing my fingers that you had a blast!
As usual, I jumped straight to the food section! π I love all the portable snacks ideas. I often find that I’m the hungriest when I’m running out the door, but I don’t always have food handy that I can take along. And so cool that they featured your protein bars!! That is so exciting!
Yesterday: shopped, shopped, and shopped… Shopped at Whole Foods, shopped at Barnes and Noble, shopped at GNC for questbars… a pretty good day indeed! π
Today: pack, pack, and pack… headed to New Orleans for the first time tomorrow!
I hope you have a great week!!<3
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Thanks so much for sharing my link!
Again, happy bday weekend to you! Not that 29 is old by any means, but I would have NEVER guessed that. I would have thought early 20’s. Next year’s the big one!! π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I get early 20’s a lotβ¦ sometimes even 18 π Happy Sunday, Kim! xox
Kristin
Love the link to the SITS girls, never saw their site before and they have some great info for new bloggers!
Nicole @ FruitnFitness
I always like clicking through your link love posts. It’s so nice that you compile all these interesting articles in one place for us to read! Also, I love that today’s schedule includes eating cake π I’m on the elliptical at the gym now then headed home for some baking.

I hope you had a wonderful birthday- can’t wait to see the cake of choice….Yes to that apple sandwich in the link you provided- My go-to snack is always an apple with peanut butter or even lately, the roasted apple skins with peanut butter. Doesn’t get better or more satisfying that that…3 things yesterday – run, manicure, eat…3 things today – run, relax, mall.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I still need to make that apple skins recipe you posted! I keep forgetting to save the skins every time I peel my apples to make applesauce π
lindsay

2014 is off to a hectic start for me..work is kinda crazy at the moment. Interesting links up there – can’t wait to get stuck in π
Yesterday: movie, helped Mum bake for a wedding, pedicure.
Today: worked at the stables, lunch function, and hopefully a looong hot bath.
Looking forward to the birthday recap!
Caitlyn
I have such a mixed relationship about hiit training. High intensity has really hurt me and my body so I try not to do it so much. I love intervals but high intensity exercise can be bad for me. Are you considering taking up hiit training? That would be a fun addition to the routine! I used to do it all the time. I miss the endorphins! Great links!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
No plans to add HIIT to the regular routine just yet — I just enjoy learning about that kind of stuff. I have to admit that it’d be nice to be able to do everything in 10-15 mins and be done with it, though π
Megan (The Lyons' Share)
This is one of the best link love posts I’ve ever read – thank you!!! So many great resources here. I especially love the ones on metabolism, resolutions, how to stop treating yourself, and pinterest traffic … OK, I basically clicked on every single one. Happy late birthday, too!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Thanks Megan! Happy Sunday to you!
Cassie
Hope you had a wonderful birthday!! Great links today, I loved the Hungry Runner Girl one (just finished catching up on her blog). She’s my Sunday long-run inspiration go-to. Now if only I could be as fast as her…
Yesterday: hot yoga & coffee with Angela, made sweet potato hummus, went to a 6-pack party
Today: made crepes to fuel pre-long run, long run, mani with a friend!
Christine@ Apple of My Eye
Thanks so much for sharing my How to Increase Your Pinterest Traffic Post love <3. You're the BEST!
Love these links! Heading over to take a closer look right now :D.
Hope you had a wonderful birthday as well <3

Can’t wait to see this cake of yours – but then, it will make me want to bake one… I think I can just about deal with that π
2014 is off to a super start – *just* about ready to get back to the real world – which is marked by finishing the last of holiday chocolate… boo!
Laura Agar Wilson (@lauraagarwilson)
2014 has been good to me so far but it’s really back to it as of tomorrow. I usually get a bit depressed at this time of year but now I’m determined not to let that happen so making time to fit in lots of fun things too π
shashi @ http://runninsrilankan.com
I cannot wait to see what cake you decided on! Coffee with a friend is always such a wonderful treat!
Blogging etiquette was an awesome read – loved “Comments are like crack to bloggers. In this case, crack is NOT whack!” π Thanks for the reads, Amanda.
Yesterday: running, church and trying to make smores with a space heater
Today: shopping, visiting parents and whatever else may pop up
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
π Oh that s’mores thing cracked me up big time. I used to “roast” marshmallows over the stove when we had an electric one. Heyyyyy, whatever works π
Kate @ Quarter Century Southern Living
Happy Belated Birthday! Although, it sounds like today could be the real celebration since it involves the eating of the cake π Enjoy! Thanks for providing my Sunday Morning reading material!!
Hollie
I actually really need that how to make the perfect green smoothie article. Mine always taste like vomit or they aren’t filling…I never know how people get so into them honestly. Maybe I’ll try a few of those recipes.
Thanks as always for the posts you enjoy. I like to see what others are reading.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I just recommend staying away from kaleβ¦ I tried using it in a smoothie once, and yeaaaaaahβ¦ there’s a reason I haven’t been able to eat kale since π
