What.is.UP, friendly faces?!
It’s Sunday yet again, and that means it’s time for some good old-fashioned link love… with a little self-love (read: recipe pimping) thrown in for good measure π
In case you missed it, I put up the recipe for this Hot Chocolate Breakfast Smoothie yesterday, which you might want to check out if you like chocolate. And breakfast. And warm and cozy drinks.
The crazy thing is that we haven’t seen really been needing warm and cozy drinks around these parts… Normally we’re buried in snow at this time of the year, but the snow has seriously been lacking and we’ve been seeing rain more often than not. They weren’t kidding about that El NiΓ±o thing…
But you’re not here for small talk about the weather, so let’s get to the good reads!
For my head…

Cristina
So many great links! Thank you for including my post, Amanda. I really appreciate it.
Jen @ Chase the Red Grape
Oh how was Spectre? David and I are thinking of going to see it this weekend but have heard a mix of reviews – some either love it or hate it!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I didn’t -love- it, but I din’t think it was horrible either. Definitely not my favourite Bond movie, but it was entertaining enough. I’d probably be fine waiting and seeing it on DVD though.
Emilie @ Emilie Eats
Thanks for linking my Chocolate Chip Almond Butter Bars! They’re a hit with everyone π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
They look amazing, girl!
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner
Yesterday: Ran 10 miles, went to a bridal shower, had friends over. Today: walked dogs for an hour, had brunch with friends, watched football. It was a great weekend! π
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
That hot chocolate smoothie though…
Gretchen

Today: watching SNL, catching up on Spanish homework, finishing the Picture of Dorian Gray!
Thank you for hosting this link up Amanda! Great as always. <3

“went to see the Peanuts movie in flannel pyjamas” <-- now that's just the coziest thing ever.
Monique @ Ambitious Kitchen
Thanks so much for the share! Love your link loves. π
Catherine @ foodiecology
Great links as usual! That smoothie of yours looks so rich and delicious. It’s been crazy warm here, too. It felt like July yesterday (ugh!). Hot, humid, and rainy.
3 things I did yesterday: ran (and walked) a 10K, visited with my mother-in-law, and watched football
3 things I did/am doing today: slept late (glorious!), did some laundry, and scheduled some blog posts for the upcoming week
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
the weather here was so insanely warm this week – it felt like summer did in Alberta. I’m not a winter person so I definitely appreciated it!
yesterday: binge-watched a stupid amount of lost (like, i don’t even want to say how many episodes i watched because it’s embarassing. definitely checking out that workouts during tv thing…), went to the farmer’s market, went to a friend’s for a birthday party.
today: helping a friend study for her midterms, having dinner with the family, and maybe going to the gym.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
How’s Lost?! It’s one of those shows that I keep meaning to get into. Gonna have to pick your brain about it…

Happy Sunday, Amanda! Today, I’ll be doing a lot of relaxing — it’s a rest day after all. Thanks, as always, for some good links to check out! π

I have made a few comments about how our weather has been so amazing in MN because of the El Nino, and so many people have commented back “I don’t believe in that”. Haha, since we are usually in the freezing temps by now, and the fact that we aren’t, has me convinced.

Hey, what’s wrong with a little yeast?! It makes the best buns. π
I think stress so often gets overlooked, and its impact on us is huge, sometimes more so than the foods we ingest.
I’m a champ in the bathroom. I know you wanted to know that.
Yesterday: I got to see a lot of family I haven’t seen in years, drove from Buffalo back home to Cleveland, and I ate a caramel apple with a side of Cheez Its and raspberries for dinner.
Today: I’ve already made candied walnuts, submitted some recipes to FoodGawker and I intend to see a bunch of friends later this afternoon for less than ideal circumstances. It’ll be good to see them though. It’ll be the first time since the big news too.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It makes the best buns as long as someone else is making them π And I love that you’re still on the raspberry and Cheez Its kick. Balance at its finest.
meredith @ Cookie ChRUNicles
I meant to tell you yesterday that I am eager to try the hot chocolate smoothie. I haven’t been blending up anything these days so remind me! 3 things yesterday – long run, time at the mall and out for dinner 3 things today – Pure Barre class (in the studio!!), catching up on errands and stuff, out for lunch.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ll remind you to make it tomorrow for lunch
Alyssa @ Renaissancerunnergirl
Definitely needed those back and hip specific poses this week π Sitting at a work desk all day even with every-half-hour water bottle refills or bathroom breaks wreaks havoc!
Susie @ SuzLyfe
Thank you so much for including my post. I had to really take my own advice this weekendβI had a regression in my back on Friday. It’s hard watching everyone else enjoy this unseasonably warm weather, but I’m just going to hope that there is a bit leftover for me. Have a great week, Amanda!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Sending tonnes of positive healing vibes your way, Susie <3 Hope things start looking up soon.
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
It’s been cold actually in Phoenix. I saw on the news it was warmer in the north this week than in the south. Crazy weather! Now I’m off to read about saving money.
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
Pimp that recipe all you want because it looks amazing and deserves it! It’s also been warm over here and I really can’t wait for hot chocolate days already – you know how I feel about winter versus summer π
