And speaking of lookers, brown bananas are quite the eyesore…
… but with a little work…
… they can turn into something beautiful delicious too…

But what the heck was I doing inside when the weather was so gorgeous?
Boiling. That’s what.
Don’t ask why I bake on sweltering hot days.
I don’t know.
So when the bread came out, the shades did too…
… and it was time to head outside for a doggie play date.
Unfortunately, the bushes called the game early…
And even more unfortunate is the fact that Kaiah is probably chewing on my favorite pair of shoes as we speak, just to get back at me for posting such an unflattering picture…
But I can’t stop her because after my doggie date, I prettied myself up…
… and rushed out the door for a real date…
… but not before spilling my purse on the ground…
… and then stopping to take a picture…
It’s all about being fashionably late, right? 😉

And speaking of dates, June 10th marks the 1 month anniversary of my cozy little place on the web. It feels like just yesterday that I decided to come back to the blog world, and I have a hard time believing that 30 days have already gone by…
I just wanted to thank you guys for making the past month so amazing. Honestly. I feel so blessed to be able to reach out and connect to such fabulous people, and I hope you guys know how much every comment and e-mail mean to me… They make me smile like a kid on Christmas morning, so don’t be afraid to say hi!

Let’s talk dates: how far is too far on the first one?
OOH dates!! I’ve actually never been on one- a bit embarrassing as a nearly 21-year-old, but I’m also a bit stunted in that department (blog post coming soon?) I think whatever you feel comfortable with should be fine. You should be able to call all shots based on your comfort level. always.
I’m glad you’re back too. Your blog has really done wonders for my thoughts in recovery Amanda, I hope you know that.
I loved your last post as well. I do this too and just freaked out about it yesterday knowing that I’m consuming calories that I don’t “Plan” or “count in” or even think about. But then I rethought about it. I’m not huge, I’m not fat, I’m not going to be fat from this. If I’m hungry, I can steal a bite of this and a nibble of that. I can because normal people do. There isn’t anything wrong with it. I can prove to ED and to myself that 10 more calories, or even 100 more aren’t going to make any difference. Thanks so much for confessing my confession haha

Kombucha most certainly gives me wings too! Right now I’m hooked on Guava Goddess , but I love Trilogy as well. And you’re so right about not looking at the mysterious particles at the bottom of the bottle…blech! :-p

We actually have no idea what she is. She’s a mixie that we picked up from the shelter when she was just a tiny little thing, and they couldn’t tell us what was in her. We think probably some husky, shepherd, elkhound, border collie mix.

Ohh, banana bread… been so long since I’ve had it, so I might whip up a loaf soon. So good. Totally not weird that I put it in my coffee, then spoon it out… not weird at all.

Sadly, I have never been on a proper first date..but if it was me, I think the first date should be casual, friendly, maybe just end with a hug. Heck, 75* is jacket weather after what we’ve been having lately! But hot or not..baking’s always welcome. Especially when it comes to banana bread!
I’m the type that doesn’t even like kissing on first dates..except when I met my current boyfriend, it was totally different. We’re long distance so we talked for nearly a month before actually meeting in which case I jumped into his arms and kissed him right away. It was “technically” our first date..but by then I was already set on marrying him. 😉 haha!!

I totally eat Liberte Greek yogurt straight out of the container too. LOVE that stuff. Have you tried any of the other flavours? The Date and Fig kind is amazing!
I’ve tried the vanilla, date&fig, and peach&passionfruit… I thought the date and fig tasted a bit too pruney, and the vanilla has kind of a weird after-taste, but I love the strawberry and peach&passionfruit.
