What was Monday morningβs breakfast? GLORIOUS French toast with cinnamon, pears, and REAL maple syrup! Exceptionally delicious because I had denied myself from having it for dinner the night before…for reasons I’m actually not quite sure of…lesson LEARNED!
Do you just cut away the nasty parts of food? Or just toss the whole thing out? I ALWAYS just cut out the nasty parts…moldy cheese? Eh, it’s still good once you scrape off the blue! Lol
Do you brush your teeth before or after breakfast? Before? WHO does that?!!
Do you have a hard time picking out your outfit in the morning? Not really…unless I’m going somewhere special/meeting new people…then I’ll change clothes like 29563 times! Haha

I’m really weird…I NEED to make my bed, even if I’m the only one who’s going to see it. There’s something about coming home from a long day of work and walking into a room with an unmade bed that just stresses me out! Weird, I know.
I also brush my teeth after breakfast. The first thing I do in the morning is drink coffee, so morning breath is masked with coffee breath. So I mine as well just wait until I eat breakfast and am ready to go into public to make my breath smell beautiful π

Not weird! That’s kind of why I make sure my kitchen is clean before I go to bed every night – waking up to a dirty one just starts my day off on the wrong foot.

Yesterday’s breakfast was simple; just some plums and pistachios. I’m a bit weird when it comes to bruised fruit. If I’m throwing it into a crisp, salad, cake, etc. I’ll just cut off the bad parts, but if I’m eating it straight up I’ll pass over the bruised piece in favour of one that’s perfect. I never toss anything out, though. It may not be eaten as a snack but it’ll be used eventually, so I save it.
Brushing my teeth is the last thing I do before heading out the door. I continuously sip on green tea all morning–right up until I need to leave–and it tastes funky if you brush your teeth and then drink it.
Don’t even get me started on picking out outfits in the morning. I will try on at least four combinations before heading out if I didn’t choose an outfit the night before.

By the way – I wished for the sunshine you got yesterday morning. It’s cold and cloudy again in Germany and I wanted to get up early and for a nice, quick run before heading out for daily biz… not happening. This weather makes me cuddle deeper into my blankets and write never-ending comments on my favorite blogs π

Oh girl, I can definitely relate to that! Our weather has been so up and down lately. It’ll go from being snowy and gray one day, to sunny and mild the next. I wish spring would just show up already!

Looks like one beautiful day π Breakfast was an egg white omelet with spinach + kale plus a grapefruit. For some reason the combo of citrus and eggs is such a treat for me in the am. Odd I know! I cut off the bad parts of food, I feel so wasteful just tossing it all away so I feel better just cutting it off and trashing a small portion. Hope you have a great week! Haaaaapppy Monday to you, too! Or, by now maybe I should say Tuesday? Regardless, it was fun experiencing your morning through photos; I think it’s fascinating to take a peek into other’s routines–and closets (want to come organize mine?). π
I brush my teeth both before and after breakfast because I can’t stand that grimy feeling in my mouth when I wake up in the morning. And, in case I forget to brush after breakfast, I keep a mini toothbrush tucked away in my bag.
As for clothing decisions: I actually slip on my gym clothes first thing in the morning on weekdays, so I never really have to put much thought into what I’m going to wear (other than which neon color sport tank I’m in the mood for) until after breakfast and my workout. Since I’m not working in typical office right now (Starbucks and Whole Foods are my workplaces), I often just shower off and put on fresh gym clothes afterward. I go for comfort, and running leggings and hoodies beat skinny jeans in that department ANY day. π
Breakfast this morning was two pieces of cinnamon toast (love!) with an egg-spinach-parmesan scramble. π

I haven’t had Puffins in forever! I love the cinnamon and peanut butter kinds, but I haven’t had cereal in awhile, I’ve just preferred other breakfasts lately. Speaking of which, this morning’s breakfast was a sweet-style socca pancake topped with crunchy PB and Vega chocolate protein frosting. I’ve been trying to switch up my breakfasts more often so I don’t get burned out, and it’s fun trying out different things.

I loved this post! My breakfast this morning was a sweet potato zucchini muffin and a blueberry smoothie π The muffin was delicious but the smoothie could have been better! I tried a packet of Oh Natural Vega Energizing Smoothie in it – not a fan. And I just cut away the icky parts of food.. hate wasting! As for brushing teeth – always after I eat! I feel like it’s weird to do it before!

Happy Monday! I absolutely hate wasting food! If a food is safe to cut the bad parts off and eat it I will! If things like meat and dairy go bad I will toss it but I think that’s different than a bad spot on a piece of fruit. I almost never make me bed, I tell myself Bentley likes it better that way π

That banana does look nasty. I tend to cut away the bad parts of food rather than throwing out the whole thing (unless it’s 100% not salvagable). I definitely have a hard time picking out my outfit in the morning too!

I was driving back from Miami this morning during breakfast time so I had a bagel and a coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts. Not the best choice, but it filled me up for hours..which is weird because I always get hungry shortly after eating. I cut away the nasty parts of food…I don’t believe in wasting food if I don’t have to! I brush my teeth before breakfast..which kind of defeats the purpose, but I usually brush and then run and THEN eat..so it’s not all lost. I don’t usually have too hard of a time picking out what to wear for the day normally…but if I’m going out, then my closet turns into a disaster zone.
