Looking for a protein-packed snack that tastes like dessert? You’ve found it! This ridiculously thick and creamy Brownie Batter Protein Pudding packs a whopping 26g of protein and requires only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to make! It’s vegan, gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, and addictively DELICIOUS!
I’m so ridiculously excited (!!!!) for today’s post. Two reasons.
First, because I get to do something I love – share a healthy and delicious recipe with you guys that: a) involves chocolate, and b) tastes like a drinkable brownie minus all the sugar and fat. Yes, such things do exist. This ridiculously creamy and chocolatey brownie batter protein pudding is proof of that…
Second, I get to talk about a company I love and possibly introduce them to you if you aren’t properly acquainted yet. I’m talking about PlantFusion, and if you’ve ever asked me for a protein powder recommendation, this is one of the ones that you got because it’s one of the only ones I’ll use myself.
Why? Simple! It tastes good and it’s good for you.
PlantFusion is a 100% plant-based protein powder made from a blend of pea, artichoke, sprouted organic amaranth, and sprouted organic quinoa proteins, and the first one that compares to whey in terms of amino acid density and balance. It’s been enhanced with 4500mg of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and 3,350mg of glutamine, which are important for preventing muscle breakdown and promoting muscle growth. It’s also a complete protein that rocks all the amino acids (including the 8 essential ones our body can’t make on its own), and packs in a whopping 21 grams of protein per a 120 calorie serving.
Sorry, totally having a fangirl geek-out session over here. Can you tell I kind of love this stuff?
And that’s not even all of it!
What I love most is the fact that it’s allergy friendly and super easy to digest, which is perfect for those of us with sensitive stomachs (hi!!!). I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced the pain and/or discomfort that comes with drinking certain protein powders, but that’s actually one of the reasons I gave up on whey – the Buddha belly was real.
What makes PlantFusion epic in this regard is the fact that it’s free of all the major food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy), AND it’s fortified with an enzyme blend that aids in digestion and absorption… which basically translates to: “no more bloat.”
I can vouch for this because I’ve basically eaten one of these brownie batter protein puddings every day for the past week with no problem…
And because I don’t want to just tell you all this without giving you a chance to experience the amazingness on your own, it’s time for a giveaway!
PlantFusion was awesome enough to offer one of my readers (that’s you guys 💕) a chance to win not one, but TWO 1 lb. tubs of the flavour/product of his/her choice, AND a sampler pack in case you can’t decide which flavour you want (hint: there are no wrong choices – they’re all great. But I DO recommend the cookies ‘n’ crème because it goes AMAZING with cocoa).
You can enter via the widget found below the recipe, and all you have to do is head on over to the PlantFusion products page and leave a comment letting me know which product you’d like to try. I’ll be announcing the winner on Thursday, April 28, and the giveaway is open to Canada and US only. If you want to be sure to get your hands on some, you can order the sampler pack for just $10 (including shipping!!).
And hey! Then you can make your very own vegan, gluten-free, stomach friendly brownie batter protein pudding too! Just sayin’…
I’d love to know if you make this recipe! Leave a comment and rating down below to let me know what you think, and subscribe to our mailing list to receive new recipes in your inbox!
PrintBrownie Batter Protein Pudding
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 1 serving 1x
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk*
- 1 scoop (30 g) PlantFusion Cookies ‘n’ Crème protein powder
- 3 Tbsp (15 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 medium-size (100g) ripe banana, frozen**
- handful of spinach (optional; good for some extra greenies)***
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into any standard blender in the order listed and blend until smooth and creamy. This pudding can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for extra thickness and creaminess. The longer it sits, the thicker it gets!
Notes
* To make smoothie nut free and allergen-free, use a rice milk instead of the almond milk. ** If you’re not keen on bananas, you can replace it with 1/4 – 1/2 of a ripe avocado. *** If you end up adding the spinach, you may need to add a little extra milk too. Start without it and then adjust to your preferences.
- Prep Time: 5 mins
