Looking for a protein-packed snack that tastes like dessert? You’ve found it! This ridiculously thick and creamy Brownie Batter Protein Pudding packs a whopping 26g of protein and requires only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to make! It’s vegan, gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, and addictively DELICIOUS!
I’m so ridiculously excited (!!!!) for today’s post. Two reasons.
First, because I get to do something I love – share a healthy and delicious recipe with you guys that: a) involves chocolate, and b) tastes like a drinkable brownie minus all the sugar and fat. Yes, such things do exist. This ridiculously creamy and chocolatey brownie batter protein pudding is proof of that…
Second, I get to talk about a company I love and possibly introduce them to you if you aren’t properly acquainted yet. I’m talking about PlantFusion, and if you’ve ever asked me for a protein powder recommendation, this is one of the ones that you got because it’s one of the only ones I’ll use myself.
Why? Simple! It tastes good and it’s good for you.
PlantFusion is a 100% plant-based protein powder made from a blend of pea, artichoke, sprouted organic amaranth, and sprouted organic quinoa proteins, and the first one that compares to whey in terms of amino acid density and balance. It’s been enhanced with 4500mg of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and 3,350mg of glutamine, which are important for preventing muscle breakdown and promoting muscle growth. It’s also a complete protein that rocks all the amino acids (including the 8 essential ones our body can’t make on its own), and packs in a whopping 21 grams of protein per a 120 calorie serving.
Sorry, totally having a fangirl geek-out session over here. Can you tell I kind of love this stuff?
And that’s not even all of it!
What I love most is the fact that it’s allergy friendly and super easy to digest, which is perfect for those of us with sensitive stomachs (hi!!!). I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced the pain and/or discomfort that comes with drinking certain protein powders, but that’s actually one of the reasons I gave up on whey – the Buddha belly was real.
What makes PlantFusion epic in this regard is the fact that it’s free of all the major food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy), AND it’s fortified with an enzyme blend that aids in digestion and absorption… which basically translates to: “no more bloat.”
I can vouch for this because I’ve basically eaten one of these brownie batter protein puddings every day for the past week with no problem…
And because I don’t want to just tell you all this without giving you a chance to experience the amazingness on your own, it’s time for a giveaway!
PlantFusion was awesome enough to offer one of my readers (that’s you guys π) a chance to win not one, but TWO 1 lb. tubs of the flavour/product of his/her choice, AND a sampler pack in case you can’t decide which flavour you want (hint: there are no wrong choices – they’re all great. But I DO recommend the cookies ‘n’ crΓ¨me because it goes AMAZING with cocoa).
You can enter via the widget found below the recipe, and all you have to do is head on over to the PlantFusion products page and leave a comment letting me know which product you’d like to try. I’ll be announcing the winner on Thursday, April 28, and the giveaway is open to Canada and US only. If you want to be sure to get your hands on some, you can order the sampler pack for just $10 (including shipping!!).
And hey! Then you can make your very own vegan, gluten-free, stomach friendly brownie batter protein pudding too! Just sayin’…
Iβd love to know if you make this recipe! Leave a comment and rating down below to let me know what you think, andΒ subscribeΒ toΒ our mailing list to receive new recipes in your inbox!
PrintBrownie Batter Protein Pudding
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 1 serving 1x
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk*
- 1 scoop (30 g) PlantFusion Cookies ‘n’ CrΓ¨me protein powder
- 3 Tbsp (15 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 medium-size (100g) ripe banana, frozen**
- handful of spinach (optional; good for some extra greenies)***
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into any standard blender in the order listed and blend until smooth and creamy. This pudding can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for extra thickness and creaminess. The longer it sits, the thicker it gets!
Notes
* To make smoothie nut free and allergen-free, use a rice milk instead of the almond milk. ** If you’re not keen on bananas, you can replace it with 1/4 – 1/2 of a ripe avocado. *** If you end up adding the spinach, you may need to add a little extra milk too. Start without it and then adjust to your preferences.
- Prep Time: 5 mins

I’ve heard so much about this company recently and am still on a hunt for a protein powder I sincerely love. Cookies and cream!!

That pudding looks absolutely fantastic! I’d most like to try the cookies & cream protein powder, or the chocolate caramel Phood powder. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

I’d try the cookies and cream and pair it up with my VitaFiber syrup to make a delicious protein bar!
Michele @ Paleorunningmomma
Oh my this looks amazing! Rich and chocolatey plus healthy is pure awesomeness!
Kelly @ Kelly Runs For Food
This looks amazing! Plus, that protein sounds awesome. I love the idea of plant proteins, but I have trouble finding ones that have more protein than carbs for some reason. I would totally go for the chocolate option!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Right?!?! That’s always been my big thing too. The carb v. protein is always way skewed. But I’m pretty sure (going from memory here) that PF has something like 4g carbs and 21g protein? Not half bad at all!
Melanie Huttner
I’d love to try cookies and cream!
Sarah
This sounds amazing! I love how simple the recipe is too.
Sarah

Cookies and cream, for sure. Mainly to try this pudding. I’m a sucker for brownies, batter AND pudding, so a combo might make me blow up. In a good way, if that’s possible haha
Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
Duuuuude this looks so good! I would definitely want to try the chocolate flavour so I could make this!

Oh. My. Goodness. AMANDA!!! Do you have the keys to my heart or what?! I opened this up and when I read the title, my jaw literally dropped and my eyes got huge just contemplating how you could come up with such a genius recipe!! *And* something that was so quintessential me. Brownies + batter + pudding + protein boost?? It’s like all my favorite things!!! How do you do that mind-reading thing?? <- but I love it when you do! π
Gosh, honestly, I'd love to try all of the flavors! I wouldn't care as much for the vanilla (chocolate girl all the way here), but if I had to decide, it would probably be a tie between cookies n' cream (a flavor combo I adore, and with your rec, I for sure couldn't pass it up) and chocolate. Though I tend to use unflavored protein powder because it goes with anything. Do you think this would work with a plain protein powder, or is the cookies n' cream flavor too pivotal? Thank you so much for this recipe and the giveaway! I'm thinking that even if I don't win, I'm going to have to get my hands on some of this protein powder, even if only for this amazing brownie batter pudding (though I've been wanting to change protein powder brands, so maybe that's my sign…π).
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
PF is definitely an awesome option if you’re looking to switch up your proteins! And –> confession: this originally started out as a smoothie in my head, but I always err on the side of adding less milk at first, and when I saw how silky and creamy it turned out, I’m like… nooooope! Pudding, all the way. And this would work as long as your protein powder is kind of on the sweeter side. Otherwise you might have to add some maple syrup or something to keep it from being too bitter from the cocoa.
Sally morris
Cookies n cream of course!!!!
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health
Plant-fusion sounds like an amazing protein! I love that it uses amaranth and quinoa + digestive enzymes. Doesn’t get much better than that! I want this pudding every night for dessert, please and thank you. π

I was just sent a box of goodies from Plant Fusion and can’t wait to partner with them! I wish they would start an ambassador or athlete team because that would be so fun! I think my favorite is the vanilla chai, but I’m anxious to try the cookies and crΓ¨me. This recipe looks great Amanda!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Right?!?! Maybe with enough encouragement from bloggers, they might think about starting up something like that π

The Cookies and Cream protein powder sounds amazing!
Lauren
Gaaaaaaaah…oh to live in the US or Canada. Silly UK! Protein powders with no bloat is my dream!
Abbie
Definitely the cookies n’ cream so I can try this recipe, lol! But this is really intriguing for me, since my mom has trouble with whey, and I want to expand my protein powder repertoire to include a plant based one. I’m wary of plant based protein powders because they tend to be too grainy for me, plus have a weird flavor, but I have a higher opinion of anything you recommend, because so far you’ve never led me astray! Not that if I don’t like something that you do will change that! I just trust you more than other bloggers who tend to be too out there for me. π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Aww shucks. Thanks so much for that comment, Abbie. I really appreciate it! I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with plant protein as well (please never let me relive the hemp protein experience π― ), and so far this is the one that’s come the closest to whey.
Brie @ Lean, Clean, & Brie
Would love to try the cookies and cream creme protein powder!!

Mmm this looks super yummy!

I already have a chocolate protein powder so I would love to try the Cookies and Creme! That recipe looks delicious π
