Looking for a protein-packed snack that tastes like dessert? You’ve found it! This ridiculously thick and creamy Brownie Batter Protein Pudding packs a whopping 26g of protein and requires only 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to make! It’s vegan, gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, and addictively DELICIOUS!
I’m so ridiculously excited (!!!!) for today’s post. Two reasons.
First, because I get to do something I love – share a healthy and delicious recipe with you guys that: a) involves chocolate, and b) tastes like a drinkable brownie minus all the sugar and fat. Yes, such things do exist. This ridiculously creamy and chocolatey brownie batter protein pudding is proof of that…
Second, I get to talk about a company I love and possibly introduce them to you if you aren’t properly acquainted yet. I’m talking about PlantFusion, and if you’ve ever asked me for a protein powder recommendation, this is one of the ones that you got because it’s one of the only ones I’ll use myself.
Why? Simple! It tastes good and it’s good for you.
PlantFusion is a 100% plant-based protein powder made from a blend of pea, artichoke, sprouted organic amaranth, and sprouted organic quinoa proteins, and the first one that compares to whey in terms of amino acid density and balance. It’s been enhanced with 4500mg of branched chain amino acids (BCAA) and 3,350mg of glutamine, which are important for preventing muscle breakdown and promoting muscle growth. It’s also a complete protein that rocks all the amino acids (including the 8 essential ones our body can’t make on its own), and packs in a whopping 21 grams of protein per a 120 calorie serving.
Sorry, totally having a fangirl geek-out session over here. Can you tell I kind of love this stuff?
And that’s not even all of it!
What I love most is the fact that it’s allergy friendly and super easy to digest, which is perfect for those of us with sensitive stomachs (hi!!!). I don’t know if any of you have ever experienced the pain and/or discomfort that comes with drinking certain protein powders, but that’s actually one of the reasons I gave up on whey – the Buddha belly was real.
What makes PlantFusion epic in this regard is the fact that it’s free of all the major food allergens (milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy), AND it’s fortified with an enzyme blend that aids in digestion and absorption… which basically translates to: “no more bloat.”
I can vouch for this because I’ve basically eaten one of these brownie batter protein puddings every day for the past week with no problem…
And because I don’t want to just tell you all this without giving you a chance to experience the amazingness on your own, it’s time for a giveaway!
PlantFusion was awesome enough to offer one of my readers (that’s you guys π) a chance to win not one, but TWO 1 lb. tubs of the flavour/product of his/her choice, AND a sampler pack in case you can’t decide which flavour you want (hint: there are no wrong choices – they’re all great. But I DO recommend the cookies ‘n’ crΓ¨me because it goes AMAZING with cocoa).
You can enter via the widget found below the recipe, and all you have to do is head on over to the PlantFusion products page and leave a comment letting me know which product you’d like to try. I’ll be announcing the winner on Thursday, April 28, and the giveaway is open to Canada and US only. If you want to be sure to get your hands on some, you can order the sampler pack for just $10 (including shipping!!).
And hey! Then you can make your very own vegan, gluten-free, stomach friendly brownie batter protein pudding too! Just sayin’…
Iβd love to know if you make this recipe! Leave a comment and rating down below to let me know what you think, andΒ subscribeΒ toΒ our mailing list to receive new recipes in your inbox!
PrintBrownie Batter Protein Pudding
- Total Time: 5 mins
- Yield: 1 serving 1x
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) unsweetened almond milk*
- 1 scoop (30 g) PlantFusion Cookies ‘n’ CrΓ¨me protein powder
- 3 Tbsp (15 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 medium-size (100g) ripe banana, frozen**
- handful of spinach (optional; good for some extra greenies)***
Instructions
- Place all the ingredients into any standard blender in the order listed and blend until smooth and creamy. This pudding can be made in advance and stored in the fridge for extra thickness and creaminess. The longer it sits, the thicker it gets!
Notes
* To make smoothie nut free and allergen-free, use a rice milk instead of the almond milk. ** If you’re not keen on bananas, you can replace it with 1/4 – 1/2 of a ripe avocado. *** If you end up adding the spinach, you may need to add a little extra milk too. Start without it and then adjust to your preferences.
- Prep Time: 5 mins

I’d love to try either the Vanilla Bean or the Cookies N Creme Complete Plant Protein! Thank you so much for the opportunity on this giveaway! π
Paula
Definitely the cookies & cream powder for my post-workout smoothies! I know vanilla is a little more versatile for smoothies, but chocolate protein powder is always tastier.

CHOCOLATE, CHOCOLATE AND CHOCOLATE!!!

I too have experienced the belly woes of drinking whey protein, but it’s difficult to find a comparable protein powder that has all the benefits of whey. PlantFusion totally intrigues me because it is made with ingredients your body will naturally love, is enhanced with amino acids, and having a sensitive stomach myself, the digestive support is a triple plus! …and naturally low in sugar (++++)… I would love to try the chocolate, please!!!
Erin
The Chocolate Caramel Phood sounds really good! Also, this recipe is amazing:-)
Molly K.
I’m pretty new to the protein powder game, so any of those sound delicious and fun to create new things with! Thanks for the giveaway.

I desperately need to try new protein powder and I hate the idea of buying a huge tub of it and wasting it if I don’t like it, so I would DIE to win this! I totally have tummy issues (like the name of my blog suggests!) so I’d love to try this stuff. Chocolate flavoured anything would be super!

1) This smoothie looks uber thick and creamy and gahhhh I want it.
2) Yay for protein powder that’s easy to digest!
3) I would love to try cookies and cream protein powder, given the fact that cookies and cream is my fave ice cream flavor!

This brownie batter pudding looks AMAZING!! Everything you makes look amazing, but this left me totally drooling! I’ve been searching for a protein powder that’s allergy friendly and it’s so hard to find one that doesn’t taste like chalk. The chocolate and cookies and cream flavors sound amazing!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I hear ya on the chalkiness! PlantFusion actually has an explanation for this one, and it’s because their blend doesn’t contain any rice protein, which is usually what contributes to the chalkiness.
Gretchen
Oh my gosh..this looks amazing! And I agree with everyone- cookies and cream. YUM!
Natalie R
I use protein daily and usually stick to whey. But recently, I started drinking soy proteins. PlantFusion sounds like something I’d love to try!! That chocolate raspberry flavor sounds fantastic – it’s one of my favorite chocolate/fruit combos and I’ve never seen a protein with that taste before!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It’s definitely an awesome one! And if you’re going for a plant-based protein powder, I’d try to stay away from soy. Soy protein isolate isn’t all that great for us, and there’s still a tonne of debate out there about GMO’s and soy’s effect on the body. Just something to think about!
Natalie R
Interesting – I heard so many great things about the Trader Joe’s organic soy protein brand that I purchased it to bake with (much cheaper than my drinkable whey). I’ll read up on the different types for sure! Thanks!
Julie
Cookies and cream sounds amazing!
Rachel H
Cookies and cream!
Angie Williams
Definitely the cookies ‘n cream.
Heather @Fitncookies
Oh gosh I need to make this! No joke I ate brownie batter last night… this would be a better option π
Heather
Yummy! Thanks for the giveaway!
Hilary
I have been looking for a protein powder that compares with whey for awhile! I love how whey and casein bake, and the variety is amazing, but man does that stuff hurt my stomach! I have tried just pea protein and its just not the same! Can’t wait to try it out! I would love the vanilla bean.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I hear ya on the whey pain train π And vanilla is always a good choice π
Kate Bennett
You had me at pudding! I don’t use protein powder a lot, mostly because I don’t want to make the investment unless I know I’ll like it. How cool that this one has artichoke? I’d love to try the vanilla!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It’s funny because I don’t usually rely on it for protein, but I love adding it to certain things for the taste and texture!
Kayla @ Blondes Have More Run
Well this looks absolutely freakin’ delicious! I’ve been exploring more plant based protein powders lately, but have not heard of this one yet. I’d love to try it!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Ahh you seriously need to! So delicious, and it blends nicely without all that chalkiness that some powders can have.
Kristen
The cookies and cream sounds great!
Cara
The cookies and creme sounds delicious!!
Catherine
Vanilla! You can add that flavor to almost anything π
Hollie
I would want to try the cookies and cream or chocolate raspberry plantfusion protein powder. I haven’t seen raspberry before so that intrigues me!
Cori
Probably the cookies and cream or vanilla!
