Can we please talk about the black hole that is Etsy?
Actually, let’s start with a hi. Happy Sunday. How’s your weekend going? Mine’s been exactly what I needed after the craziness that’s been the past week. I spent most of the morning working on recipes and cookbook edits since the weather was janky and the kitchen was the coziest place to be, and then grabbed Ky and hit up the dog park when the sun came out…
It was seriously the most gorgeous fall-like day, and I think we spent about 3 hours out there before Ky got tired and we had to head home. Don’t tell her I told you. She doesn’t like people knowing how old she is.
So where was I? Oh yeah! Etsy. I can’t even tell you how many hours I spent browsing all the shops. And how many quirky things managed to sneak their way into my cart. I started out looking for some food photography props, and eventually found myself looking at planner stickers, cell phone cases, bags, scarves, rings, and a ridiculous amount of home decor. Like… ridiculous amount. It got to the point where I literally had to pull myself away from my computer so that I didn’t end up buying ALL the things. I’ll revisit my cart again in a few days to see if I still feel the same.
Anyways. What’s say we cut the rambling and get to the Link Love? I had a lot more time to browse the net than I did last week, so there’s plenty of good stuff here today. Hope you enjoy!

Oh lord when I think about the makeup horrors and the outfit choices I made back in my late teens early twenties, I cringe.
Etsy: I want to buy all the planner stickers.
Blog stuff: 50 quick tips…um, is that an oxymoron because once you get past 10 it’s no longer quick.
Today: I hope to do all the things because my mom is coming into town and she can hang with the baby. Reality: I’ll probably watch all the Jon Benet Ramsey stuff. Ha!!

Did you ever wear blue eyeshadow?!?! I totally wore blue eyeshadow. And I feel like I was at my most awkward in my early to late teens. I think after that I started watching makeup tutorials on YouTube 😛

You did not just say “the weather was janky!!!” I totally LOVE it! My sister’s been trying make me call things janky for like 7 years… now it seems so much more appealing. Lol. Aw, Ky looks so sweet. 🙂 I won’t say a word to her about her age. Ahem. 😉 Etsy: Yep, bottomless pit of things. So. Many. Things. I went there once to find a new photography board and ended up buying a personalized necklace for my sister, a glazed plate for my mom, and… well, it’s best to stop here, before I start sounding janky. Okay, I didn’t use that right did I? Haha. Anywho, thanks so much for including my almond joy recipe! So glad you had a chance to chillax after all that craziness. Happy Monday! xo
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Oh geez. I get into so much trouble browsing for photography props on Etsy. Have you checked out Erickson Woodworks for photography boards? I actually just placed an order with them not long ago and they have some seriously gorgeous ones – http://ericksonwoodworks.com
Demeter | Beaming Baker
Ahhhh!!! I LOVE all of the boards! Whyyyyyyyy.. why do you do this to me, Amanda?!? Now I have to clear my schedule for the next two hours so I can figure out how to buy all the boards, what I’d use them for, and what props I’d “need” to go with them. There needs to be a plan of some sort, I’m sure of it. Lol. The dark brown one is totally calling to me…
