I’m lucky in a roundabout kind of way, because having a peanut allergy basically forces me to make my own bars since I can’t eat 99% of the ones out there. You just need to want irresistibly delicious and healthy recipes that put store-bought bars to shame.

Thank you so much for including my chocolate chip cookie dough protein bars! You’re the sweetest! ❤️
Maddie
The only problem I have with this post is I don’t know which recipe to start with! They all look SO GOOD! 😉
Ellie
I am a huge salted caramel fan! I also love butterscotch chips. Not the most common add-in, but worth it. Amanda, if I have blogging questions, should I email you? Or would you prefer not to answer questions?
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Butterscotch chips are amazing! I used to eat them by the handful as a kid 😀 And definitely shoot me an email, Ellie! I’d be happy to help!

Arman SLAYS. 🙂 so glad you featured him! Anyways, these protein bars look to die for, and I am so excited to look into the ones that go cray-cray on the peanut butter!

Best snack bar: chocolate chip! It’s a classic and you’re safe it won’t taste bad
I actually did bake this weekend, and it was so good! Fresh chocolate cookies with milk and everything. Mmmmm. 🙂

I guess no more Sweet & Savory Saturdays?
I’ve actually really been celebrating the fact that, since incorporating a lot of new foods back into my diet, like soy and dried fruits, I can buy bars. Luna Bars FTW! I’ve missed those guys.
That being said, your protein granola bars are my absolute favorite–I make them all the time too. : )
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
We’ve still got S&S on the back burner, but we don’t want to commit to doing it weekly again just yet since we’ve both kind of got our hands full with the books. That being said, we’re always trying to come up with new ideas, so never know!

YES please!! Gosh I adore making snack bars at home, but for some reason I rarely do it! I make my Power Balls weekly [which is basically a raw snack bar rolled into a ball lol] and they are the perfect pre-workout snack or afternoon snack to get me through. But I’m definietly needing some variety! I think those trail mix bars are calling to me…..
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Confession: If I’m feeling super lazy, I won’t even roll mine into balls. I’ll just eat them straight from the bowl with a spoon 😆
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
I love those Trail Mix Bars you have; that and the Blueberry Crumble Bars. So much goodness. Now if only I could find the time to make a batch. One day.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
One day for sure! You can get the Mini Me in the kitchen early – some of my best memories were baking with my mom as a tiny thing 🙂

Great list!!
Michele @ Paleorunningmomma
Such a coincidence – I have all the ingredients to make your almond fudge protein bars for my mom today! Plus your rice crispy treats for my kids since I’ll also have those ingredients and they’ve been asking 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Aww I hope they like them! And I hope you guys are having a great Mother’s Day 🙂
Shashi @ RunninSrilankan
Homemade bars trump store bought anyday – I mean – look at the evidence here!
Yes I plan on baking – thinking Iam starting with a breakfast cake I saw on @ThroughHerLooking Glass’s blog then…something with beets 🙂
Happy Saturday Amanda – hope your weekend is lovely and filled with all the deliciousness you can handle!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Breakfast cake sounds so amazing, and it’s good to see you getting back to your beet-y roots! No one gets as creative as you 🙂

I like snack bars but I’ve never been able to cook/prepare them well. There are so many bar recipes here, I might have to at least try a couple.
