Happy Sunday, friendly faces!
How’s things? I’m currently writing this at a little past 11pm on Saturday night, wishing I could go to sleep but waiting for my sheets to come out of the dryer. I’m normally pretty good at getting away with my tendency to procrastinate, but there are times where it comes back to bite me in the a**. Like tonight. Five more minutes and I’m sleeping on the couch ?
So hey! How’s your weekend going so far? It’s been a cold one here, so aside from a running a few errands, I’ve pretty much been in hibernation mode. That means I’ve been cozying up to my treadmill and spending lots of time in a warm kitchen… sipping on cold banana cream pie smoothies…
See what I did just there? ?
In all seriousness, though, that’s just one of a nice big handful of awesome links I have for you today, so I hope you find something good to read alongside your breakfast, coffee, lunch, dinner, snack, etc., and I’ll talk to you again soon!
For my head…

I’ve totally done that before with the sheets! Hopefully you were able to sleep in your bed. There’s nothing better than fresh warm sheets in winter…mmm. Except for that smoothie the next morning. π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
So very true! I swear I sleep better on the nights I have fresh sheets.

The good thing? Your just-dried sheets will be so warm and cozy! And that banana cream pie smoothie–I can see myself running down the stairs to make one of those for myself in the morning! Thanks!

Too many good links…you’re killing me smalls. I have somewhere to be in 90 minutes and this might make me late. Gulp.
Here we go: another way to beat the afternoon slump is to eat an apple. It’s supposed to give you more energy than a cup of coffee.
That man with his onion: that’s totally me with my home grown produce.
I’m pretty sure I need to work on that whole body image acceptance bit right now. It’s not easy realizing you have no control over what’s happening, which also means growing exponentially bigger on a daily basis. I’m pretty sure my kneecaps are disappearing. It’s all for the tiny human though. Le sigh.
In cleaning out our office this weekend, I found a ton of old video cassettes and mixed tapes. Talk about blast from the past.
I adore the post For Those Who Still Believe in Blogging and see this around me all the time. I think in the wish to be successful, people forget why they started to begin with and sometimes tend to lose that authenticity for the pursuit of numbers. Eventually though, I think that catches up with you when you find yourself no longer enjoying it and thinking of it ONLY as a job.
Last but certainly not least, I have every intention of making Jenn’s Flautas. They’re right up my alley.
Happy Sunday.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
You know I totally agree with you on the blogging front, and that’s actually something I’m constantly fighting with myself — hence struggling with the recipe posts. Thankfully I have good friends to keep me in line π <3
Alyssa
Loved Robyn’s post on BMI and the health rant article. Those recipes look super delish too. Have a great day! xoxo
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
They were great, eh?! Definitely refreshing to see those kind of posts in our health-obsessed society.
Sarah
Thanks for the link love!!! I love these posts to see what other good reads I missed throughout the week. Have a great Sunday!
Hollie
Great list of posts Amanda. Have you ever thought of doing a weekly theme with them? This Sunday do a blogging links, next week do a food links…just a thought. I really enjoy reading and seeing what you are reading!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I haven’t! And while I love the idea of it, I like including a little bit of everything so that there’s something for everyone. That and I’m way too unorganized to keep track of that many different links π
Margaret @ youngandrungry
I’m a big procrastinator too although I’m working to get better about that with my blog! Now always easy..
Yesterday I ran, plugged my tire, and went bowling.
Today I’m going to run, go to church, and have our first small group!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Definitely not always easy. But it sure feels good to have things done ahead of time instead of scrambling to get everything done at the last minute.
michele @ paleorunningmomma
Yesterday was all about cleaning the house, today is more of that plus a run and trip to the Cheesecake Factory with my whole family. Today is already looking more fun than yesterday π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ll say! And ugh… you just reminded me that my place could use a serious cleaning as well…
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
I don’t know why, but I’ve been all about smoothies lately too!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I blame the dry winter air!
