Happy Sunday, friendly faces! π
How’s the weekend been treatin’ ya thus far? Good? Good! Truth be told, I’ve barely even realized that it’s the weekend… probably because I’ve spent most of it either working or running errands. Womp, womp.Buuuuuut I’ve been trying to get ahead on a few things so that I don’t fall behind when I leave for Whistler at the end of the week, so at least there’s that to look forward to.
You know what I miss? The days where weekends actually meant something — something other than “finally” getting a chance to go grocery shopping or doing those 2 loads of laundry that you’ve been putting off all week. The days where you’d wake up early just to catch the good cartoons on TV and sit on the couch in your PJs eating sugary cereal until noon. This grown-up stuff is for the birds. And these links are for you π

Wow, those pictures of the tourist attractions are amazing. I’m itching to go travel again!
3 things I did Saturday: did some contract work for the Dairy Farmers of Canada, went to a BBQ with JZ’s friends, and went to the Winona Peach Festival
3 things I did Sunday: contract work again, went on a walk in the countryside of Paris (Ontario) on my break, and watched Leap Year on tv when I got home.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
π I caught some of Leap Year when I was over at my parents’ too!

Yesterday: Worked at the hospital; Took the pup on a long walk after I got home; Got out of a date I didn’t want to go on by being honest.
Today: Worked at the hospital; Got a Manicure; Took a lunchtime walk in the sun : )
I haven’t had a regular M-F schedule in a long, long time. Maybe one day…

i gotta check out these milk and cookie pops!!! WHOA!

I’ve always wondered if that postworkout snack HAS to be eaten within 30 minutes, or 1 hour or if it doesn’t matter at all as long as you eat enough protein throughout the day. That article didn’t answer this for me though π But I can’t believe that my body will recognise whether it has been 30 min or 2 hours or whatever. It gets protein consistently during the day and that has to be enough.
Those 50 pictures are mindblowing indeed! Thanks for sharing! Have a nice Sunday π

Loved the quotes andthe Things I Wish They Taught Me In School. I also found a great quote: “It is your resistance to “what is” that causes your suffering.” That is so true, and a lesson I needed to hear today. Thanks again for another great list of resources, and for the link up!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
I’m pretty sure I need to make Arman’s potatoes like yesterday. They are calling to me.
This is actually the very last blog post in my reader today (hooray me) and once I’m done leaving a comment, I shall run wild and free today. Or at least go for an actual run. I feel like I need a good sweat session before beginning my day in the kitchen (not that I need to workout to eat; there’s no correlation there) and getting bloggy with it and hopefully Yummie Nation. It’s early so I think my goals are obtainable, always a good thing.
I love the ways to tell if you’re vitamin deficient. Our bodies have so much to say, now if only we would listen. I also really enjoyed the post on juggling a blog and a full time job, although I disagree with automating your social media accounts. I think being there and engaging with the reader/audience is far more important and what keeps people coming back.
Alright I’m off. Happy Sunday! Go enjoy it.
Arman @ thebigmansworld
Hello. I am a potato. Make me.
Peel me, scrub me, bash me….in flour and oil and do the same in the pan.
Devour.
Love, a potato.

Thanks for featuring my link π You have a ton of good ones on here….I can’t wait to go through all my new tabs now π Right after I go get a big spoonful of almond butter….that always reminds me of you!

Those photos of animals in the wintertime are amazing. I love photography posts. I could stare at them for HOURS. UGH! It makes me miss photography in high school. I wish I would have kept it up through college somehow.
Yesterday: Weaver’s farmers market runnin’, diner pancake eatin’ with my mommy, and rainy day relaxin’.
Today: Baking something with peaches, tanning (sunny, finally), and possibly seeing a mooobie. π
Jen @ Bagels to Broccoli
Thanks so much for sharing! So glad you liked it!

Ugh, totally agree on the weekends not being “special” but rather… time to catch up on things. Speaking of, I need to stop reading blogs and go put away laundry… womp womp.

Three things yesterday: Babysat, watched Breaking Bad, went out dancing with my girls.
Three things today: Ate delicious bread, watching more Breaking Bad (new obsession, I know I’m late), going for a walk in the woods.
Good weekend all round! And thank you thank you for that banana and oat bread recipe, it’s definitely bookmarked!

AWESOME links–one of my favorites! I’ve been reading a lot about “diets” lately and I love that more and more are emphasizing balance and moderation when it comes to healthy lifestyle. Being a newbie is definitely hard! I should know, (I’m new to blogging, new to grad school) but, it’s an exciting journeyβ¦Loved that post.
Yesterday: went to the farmers market, celebrated a friends birthday, watched a movie while enjoying s’mores.
Today: finishing readers/papers, meal prepping, and running errands.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Isn’t it so refreshing to see that shift in mindset?!? Definitely a step in the right direction! And everyone was a newbie at some point! Before long you’ll be pro π
Davida @ The Healthy Maven
Funny, I kind of miss when the weekends felt like a weekend too!! Now the weekends are often used to get ahead so I’m not a crazy person all week…that is when I’m actually able to stay put for more than 10 seconds lol
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
3 things yesterday – ran ten miles, shopping, out for dinner….3 things today – ran 13.1 miles(double long runs to train for the Runner’s World Hat Trick), beach and hopefully a chance to relax before a busy week ahead.
Pip {Cherries & Chisme}
You know, I think this may well be the best Link Love you’ve ever done! It’s certainly keeping me entertained at least. And I’m reading all this posts whilst getting myself in a right mess dunking a banana into almond butter which feels rather appropriate…
Yesterday – CrossFit, blogging, worked at a wedding
Today – 4.5 hour bus journey to London, eating said banana on bus – #noshame, seeing my friend for the first time in nearly a year!!
Hope you at least get a bit of weekend time! It’s a bank holiday tomorrow in the UK, you need to come over here!!
