Hullo, hullo from the beautiful Canadian Rockies!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — I adore the mountains. Absolutely adore. There’s no place where I feel happier and more at peace. I would pack my bags and move here if I could, but until my dreams have a higher chance of actually materializing, the occasional weekend getaway will have to do.
So while I’m zooming down the side of a mountain and trying to avoid breaking my legs/ribs/arms/neck, check out some of these awesome links that I managed to gather up over the past week, and feel free to add a few of your own.
I hope you guys are having an amazing Sunday, and I’ll see you tomorrow with a recap of my trip, As We Speak style…

Where would you live if you could pick any place in the world?
Three things you did yesterday; three things youβre going to do today. Go:
Yesterday: road tripped to Jasper, spent the day snowboarding at Marmot, and spent the night wandering around town.
Today: more snowboarding, driving back home, and spending the night not moving from my couch.

Heather @ Kiss My Broccoli
Thanks for all the great links, girlie I especially like the “3 Questions That Will Turn Your Life Around”…whoa! Definitely good food for thought! Also, I’m totally breaking out the coconut and jojoba oil for my face…the dry skin (and acne) I’ve had lately has been terrible! Hopefully this will help!
Davida @ The Healthy Maven
It’s sad that you can get out to the rockies for the weekend and I have never been! WHERE’S MY INVITE? I make great company on ski vacations….if you enjoy sitting by the fire and eating chili.
Thanks for including me link! Obvs you don’t need any help with your photography after the chickpea porn you just posted!
Danica @ It's Progression
I now have about 15 additional tabs open – lots of great stuff to read! π
Robyn @thereallife_RD
Thanks for sharing the love lady! π Hope you had a great weekend!
Heather
Thanks for the link love, lovely lady! I definitely want to read most of these! I loved Davida’s post on food photography- so helpful!
Tina Muir
Agh this week is too crammed for me to read most of these, but thankfully I have read a lot already. I want your life, you travel so much, its great!
By the way, tried Dates (finally bought medjool) and almond butter….SO good!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Eeee! Life changing, right?! I polished off my last bag of dates so I definitely need to pick up some more…
Hollie
I was really interested in why not to wash your face. It honestly seems like we always hear the opposite so it’s nice to read that side too. That being said, I think I’ll probably still wash my face frequently.
Jessie
I literally just opened five of these posts before even making it to the comment box. Thanks for sharing, Amanda. Looking forward to reading the mentioned posts xoxo
Mary Frances
I’ve been stalking this series and never commented, but I really enjoy looking through all the links! You find the best stuff, Amanda!
Brittany @ Delights and Delectables
Loving these links girl!!!! I would live somewhere warm.. somewhere it is ALWAYS warm!
Megan @ The Skinny-Life
Italy is where I would live! I spent the weekend in WI (instead of AZ) with my Mom who is recovering from emergency open heart surgery.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Oh no! Sending thoughts and prayers for your mom and your family <3
Becky @ Olives n Wine
Thank you for the link love <3 I also loved Sam's posts this week – they're most definitely great reads!
Jo @ Living Mint Green
Yes, you absolutely should move to the mountains. If I can do it, anyone can. There’s lots of opportunity hereβ¦ to work hard & play hard. I love it!
I know I say this all the time, but you can come stay with me anytime. Come boarding up at Nakiska!!
I’VE NEVER BEEN TO JASPER
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Never?!!? The atmosphere of the town isn’t as nice as Banff of Canmore, but the mountains are freaking awesome. I’ve never been to Nakiska π―
Erin @ The Almond Eater
Ahh thanks for the link love, love! I hope you’re having a blast in the mountains. If I could live anywhere hmmmm….right now I’m going to say Spain. Ask me in a week and I’d probably say somewhere different. Indecisiveness ftw.
Arman @ thebigmansworld
Spooooons I can’t wait for the selfie heavy post to come. Thanks for the shout out- don’t eat broccoli. Eat cheese. Or broccoli cheese.
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
Damn you and your link posts. π I just lost forty-five minutes of time, but then again I did get to read about Sam’s journey with HA, and I’m grateful for that. I think her openness will really be a huge help to so many others and that is one of the beautiful things about blogging: helping people.
I also just bought a whole new skin regimen which requires lots of face washing so I’m going to ignore that other link about washing your face less. Actually I did read it, but I’m now going to push it out of my brain and pretend like it never existed.
I’m glad you’re having a blast snow boarding away. Enjoy yourself and no broken bones.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Having met her in person, I can definitely say that Sam is an awesome lady. And I can’t wait to meet more awesome ladies (*cough*you*cough*) at Blend this year!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
Aw shucks. I’m excited to meet you two. It’s gonna be a lot of fun.
Julie @ Coastal Runner Girl
Love these links!! I’ll have to join the fun link-up next week!
If I could live anywhere in the world, it’d have to be warm and on the ocean! I’m thinking California would be ideal. Or South Carolina, Australia, Hawaii, Aruba, Bahamas, or maybe Florida… π
Megan (The Lyons' Share)
Loving the “one simple question” article. SO true, and lately I’ve been really into the concept that so much information makes us more informed but ALSO makes it harder for everyone. A toughie. I’m still not convinced on the not washing your face thing π
Christine@ Apple of My Eye
Great links, lady! Hope you’re having a wonderful time on the mountains π
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
I’ve been wanting to try that Dutch Baby and I love all of your happiness links! Have fun in the mountains!
Beth
I love link love posts!!! (BTW, the simple chocolate coconut bite link brings me to the apple smoothie). My favorite links are similar to yours…lost of Better with Sprinkles posts on her final recovery journey. So inspiring…as are you, my dear!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Sam is one awesome lady. And I made a blunder with the link to the bites, but it should be working now!
Cassie
AHHH if I could live anywhere? Probably Hawaii. Or San Francisco.
Yesterday: Left Nicaragua, watched Desert Runners on the plane, made my dad take me to the grocery store on the way home from the store.
Today: Catch up on life from being gone for a week, yoga, hopefully a run?
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Thanks for all the link love my dear! Much appreciated<3 And I hope you're having a fabulous weekend (although pleeease don't break any bones)
If I could live anyplace in the world, it'd be someplace warm. Arizona or California, Australia or New Zealand, Mexico, Costa Rice, the Bahamas, Thailand…just give me lots of sun.
Yesterday: finally went home after spending a week housesitting for the MIL, went to Niagara Falls, gambled unsucessfully.
Today: groceries, cleaning the apartment, baking banana bread (think I'm gonna start that now, actually…)
Amanda @ Diary of a Semi-Health Nut
Ahh too many good links!! I am so far behind on all blog reading (all the time) but I am off to read some of these because I just can’t resist!!
Do you do a link-up for this every week? This is the first time I’ve noticed one!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Yup! It’s up there every week.
Ms.J
You are a snow lady through and through! Glad you’re having an awesome time π …as much as I’m dying to experience snow – I think I’ll mentally pass away with being exposed to cold :p .
Hmmm.. I’d totally love to stay in a forest-ish place.. close to hiking trails and such.
Yesterday: work, family lunch, work. Month end.. I’m behind with work.. not pretty.
Today: early morning beach walk, pampering shower, work.
Ooohh I am so excited for an “As we Speak” post!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Working on getting one up, ‘as we speak’ π
Cat
Love those health articles especially! Must say I’m a bit jeal of your time in the mountains – may be next year for me!
Marina @ Lazy for Diet
I want live in California! To live on an ocean coast, to go on the farmer markets and not to see snow… Yes, it is my way π I live in the north, and I was tired of rains, snow and a wind.
lindsay
way to take the workout outdoors, even in that weather! you amaze me. I’d be whining it’s too cold. LOL! and great links. Love all these writers and the food!
