Happy Sunday, friendly faces! π
How’s the weekend been treating you so far? Good I hope. I think I’m finally getting over my jet lag and getting back into a more normal sleeping schedule. And to make things even better, the weather around these parts has been absolutely gorgeous… well, for March anyways. I don’t want to jinx it, but I think winter is over and spring is going to arrive when it should. Woot!
Anywho, I’m running a little late this morning so I’m going to keep this intro short and sweet. I hope you guys have an awesome Sunday, and if you find yourself with some time to spare, be sure to check out some of the links I’ve been loving this week.
See you tomorrow! π

Love the links…especially the 30 must do’s! Definitely keeping that to look back on later…very good reminders to live in the moment and make the best out of everything in life! And I’m glad you included the link to the oil pulling. I heard about that a couple of weeks ago, but wasn’t exactly sure what it was. Now I’m not sure if I should be curious or completely grossed out! ha! Oh and true story: I am typing this comment from a standing desk! π
Kelsey @ Ramblings of Change
Yesterday (Sunday!): watched Parenthood, cleaned dishes (this is a big deal considering how bad they got), and started to read The Hunger Games trilogy again.
Today: CrossFit at 9am, get a blogging schedule ready for this week, and catching up on more cleaning around our apartment.
Jan @ Sprouts n Squats
These links are great to help me catch up on all the blog reading I missed last week thanks for sharing π
I still have to read your old posts on how you enjoyed Hawaii <3
Natalie Staeckeler
Good to hear you’re getting over the jet leg! π
Great link roundup. π
Megan @ The Skinny-Life
I read a lot of the Huffington Posts as well! I need to read the blogging ones. I feel like I will never catch up to everyone! Sending you warm weather this week! It was 90 here in Phoenix this weekend. I made it outdoors today for a 10 miler. First one since my foot injury and I actually got burnt, forgot sunscreen duh!
Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
Thanks for the link love!! π Love the rest of the links, as always. That chocolate banana bread looks majorly yum!
Yesterday: made African peanut soup (ie. African sunflower seed butter soup for me haha) from Oh She Glows’ cookbook, read a few chapters from I am Malala, and went out for drinks with JZ and his group of friends.
Today: went out for brunch with a friend, bought a few things from Forever 21, and organized my bin of scarves by rolling them all up and neatly storing them in a container. Fingers crossed they will stay that neat haha.
Hannah @ CleanEatingVeggieGirl
I am loving that there is now even more proof that bananas should be eaten frequently…very frequently! π
Arman @ thebigmansworld
Thanks for the link love my lcp…. Speaking of lcp, I wonder if they would work with Chelsea’s recipe!
I’m going to read these tonight when I get home from work but I really want to read the 5 second rule one…. Clearly 30 seconds is the new 5 seconds. Remember when you said you answer questions in your comments?
Have u ever mixed cocoa powder with coconut butter and sea salt? I had a thought!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve never done it myself (or added salt), but I’ve had chocolate coconut butter before! Good stuff.
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
I have to stick with the no second rule no matter what this article says. I have cats and no matter how much I clean, the floor is not safe territory.
Oil pulling…yeah, I can’t imagine swishing oil in my mouth for 20 minutes at a time. No swallowing, no spitting, just swishing. I can’t do it, although I’m not opposed to using it as a moisturizer.
I realized Friday night that I need to read the 5th GoT book since book 4 only covered half the characters. So that’s a lot of reading in a short period of time. Gulp. Guess I’ll see you in a few weeks, give or take a day. π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve tried oil pulling a handful of times, and I didn’t actually find it to be that bad! Takes some getting used to, but the time passes by pretty quickly as long as you keep yourself occupied. And if it’s any consolation, I found book 5 to be a lot more enjoyable than book 4 — it actually had my favourite characters in it.
Danica @ It's Progression
-I love bananas, so that article about their benefits was great! I think my banana PR for one day is 3 π
-I recently started using coconut oil on my face and my skin looks so much better in the mornings already! I have no idea why I waited so long to try it out.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Is it horrible that I average around 2-3 a day? π
Danica @ It's Progression
As far as I’m concerned, there’s nothing wrong with that!
Sarah
That is quite a jag lag, glad to see you’re getting back on your schedule!
3 things I did yesterday: gym, grocery shop, bought a $6 sweater on clearance from Old Navy (after trying on 10 different items, came out at least one thing!)
3 things today: ran a 5K (in 24 F temp, 13 F WC, 24 mph winds but I ran my best ever!), rest, and rest! Oh and cook dinner tonight.
Becky @ Olives n Wine
Yay for starting to get over jet lag! That is seriously the worst… although I never have trouble sleeping (knock on wood…) it’s nice to be back on a “normal” schedule π As always, thanks for the links!
lindsay
even with jet leg you still manage to bust out so many good link and shares. LOVE YOU lady
Ruthie@She'sWickedHealthy
Loved all these reads! And thanks for the linkup. Great stuff all around!
Catherine
Fab links as always, they’re such fab lazy Sunday reading. And I too need a crockpot in my life (or slow cooker as we olde English types call it over here!)
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Yay nice weather! We were doing ok for a couple days, but we were back around -20 this morning…it’s sunny out, at least?
Yesterday: groceries, went on a double date, took the pup for a walk.
Today: vacuuming/swiffering, laundry, giving the pup a bath (which should be interesting)
Happy Sunday love!
Tiffany
Oh I’m about to check out those simple swaps – love swapping (if it tastes good). My weekend is getting amazing, my husband just came in from out of town for 2 weeks so even though the weather is sucky here right now at least we’re together.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Awwr! Enjoy your time with him π
Lauren
Yesterday: Baked a pineapple upside down cake, caught up with a friend, and took a loooong drive in this gorgeous weather. Windows down, heat on medium. Love it.
Today: Baking something because my uncle took the whole pineapple upside down cake lol, probably go for a drive, and watch The Amazing Race with my parents tonight. Nothing too exciting. Enjoy your day!!
Ari @ Ari's Menu
Thanks for the great reads and the love! xoxo
Megan @ Meg Go Run
I just started eating lots of bananas again! I love to grab one before the gym in the morning if I’m not quite hungry for cereal but need something to get through the workout. I am sooooo guilty of multi tasking at work, it’s not even funny.
Ms.J
Experimenting in the kitchen hmm? Do I smell a new recipe coming up?
I’m thrilled by the sound of those Beauty links, can’t wait to check them all out π
Yesterday: Leg-waxing appointment (so fun! not.), family lunch, watched my brother jump his horses.
Today: Morning stroll, down-time in the form of reading, office setting up for the week ahead.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Yessss! It’s been almost a month since I posted a recipe so I really need to get on that. Happy Sunday to ya, girlie!
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
I am all sorts of angry because the fresh blueberry prices this week are insane. I would love to make those little muffins or David’s Blueberry Brussels Sprouts recipe but just can’t bring myself to pay a fortune for 6 oz. of berries. Ugh. Anyway. 3 things yesterday – run, Red Mango and food shopping (no berries!)…Today – quick run, errands and maybe the mall.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Blueberry prices are still insane, but I’ve been seeing organic strawberries popping up on sale every now and then. Berry season is comingggggg π
Cassie
Yesss buy a crockpot! It will change your life… I love making steel cut oats in the crock pot, they are SO creamy, even without almond milk (I was out and had to use water!). Plus soup, chili… everything!
I actually use oil on my face… Josie Maran, to be exact. I was so hesitant at first but I LOVE IT!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m about 6 months late, but it’s been bought. Now to actually unbox it and start experimenting. I’ll get there… eventually π
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Yay for beautiful weather! Thanks so much for sharing my blueberry muffins! I’ve been wanting to try Chelsea’s potato leek soup too. Have a fab rest of your weekend!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
You too, Kim!
Sarah
I look forward to Sunday mornings because you always provide a great to-read list. Glad to hear your weather is perking up a bit.
yesterday: bar works class, cleaned apartment, leisurely walk in the sunshine
today: Bible study, laundry, luncheon with fellow playhouse volunteers
Have a terrific Sunday!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Hope you have an awesome Sunday too, Sarah!
Jill @ Fitness, Health and Happiness
I find so many great articles at the Huffington post. Off to check out a few blogging and happiness links.
Have a fabulous Sunday!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
You too, Jill!
Davida @ The Healthy Maven
hayyyyy girl! I’m up at an obscene hour when I should probably be sleeping off yesterday’s destruction…thanks for the early mornin reads! Dod I ever tell you that I tried the oil cleansing method and it totally destroyed my skin π I swear I followed all the directions and used to right stuff but after a month of it I developed very real acne that I had never had before. Finally a year later my skin has recovered! Never again.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Oh.wow. Thanks for letting me know. I’m thinking maaaaybe I’ll steer clear of it… π―
