Happy Thursday, friends!
And Happy Thanksgiving to all my American readers! I hope you’re all enjoying plenty of delicious eats and good times with family and friends while the rest of us have to work and eat cold leftovers. Bitter? Who, me? Never 😉 I may not be sitting down to a delicious turkey dinner tonight, but I do have plenty to be thankful for; and in the spirit of the holidays, I’m taking a break from my regular Thinking Out Loud posts so that I can spend a minute or two giving props to one of those things…
You guys.
Mmm hmm. Readers. Friends. Blends… The random person who stumbled across Spoons by searching “is it safe to share a spoon?” I’m thankful for each and every one of you. It may sound a bit cliche, but blogging has been such a huge blessing for me and it’s honestly hard to imagine life without it.
So thank you.
For every comment, every tweet, every e-mail… for simply being you. I’m pretty sure that I’ll never manage to properly express how much it means to me, but I just wanted to say that you guys kind of rock my socks off.
Aaaaand I’m seriously getting a little misty-eyed over here. Wow. Was not expecting that one… Does anyone else do the “fan-the-face-like-crazy” technique when the tears threaten to come? Because that’s exactly what I’m doing right now (when I’m not typing, obviously). So on that more humorous note, off I go.
Enjoy your day, enjoy your Thanksgiving if you’re celebrating, and enjoy all of life’s blessings 😀

Happy Thanksgiving to you as well! It’s a time for gratitude and celebration, and I’m glad to hear that you’re finding things to be thankful for. While it’s common for people in the United States to gather with loved ones and enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving feast, it’s understandable that not everyone has the same opportunity. Even if you’re not able to partake in a traditional Thanksgiving celebration, taking a moment to reflect on and appreciate the things you’re grateful for is a wonderful way to embrace the holiday spirit. Gratitude can help foster a positive mindset and bring awareness to the blessings in our lives, big or small.

Thank YOU for always sharing your thoughts with such honesty! I love checking out this blog everyday because I always leave with a smile. And who doesn’t fan their face when they start to cry? Isn’t that the universal technique? It works like 40% of the time.

Hi Amanda! I’m relatively new to your blog and I’m loving it so far. Can’t believe I hadn’t found you sooner! I’m a fellow Canadian so I’m not getting any turkey today either. Not going to lie though. My boyfriend is half American so I get a thanksgiving feast this Saturday. Can’t wait! I hope you have a nice day :).
