Good morning and happy Sunday from beautiful Kelowna!
Today marks the final stretch of our trip — the drive back home to Edmonton. Call me crazy, but I’m kind of going to miss life on the road… Seeing gorgeous sights, experiencing new places – the past 5 days have been a lot of fun. I could probably do without getting caught in bad weather and the extended periods of sitting in a car, buuuuuut hey, life’s about learning to dance in the rain, right? 😉 And speaking of rain, keep your fingers crossed for me so that I don’t get caught in another freak rainstorm while on a highway up in the mountains – once was more than enough for this trip.
But enough rambling… I’ll talk more about my travels later this week because today is all about sharing the [link] love.

Awesome links!
I didn’t have a lotta love for my internet provider this weekend so was super glad to see your links today (am playn catchup). Khushboos article on clean eating was so rad! And LOVE the active post on eating more!
And so glad I don’t have a food processor as that chocolate almond butter spread would not be safe in my house!
Wishing you safe travels …wait…you are safely back already!
Well – looking forward to trip recap!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
Good thing I don’t place my self worth in my vegetarian status because that’s blown now. Stupid Parmesan cheese. Oh how I love you though, especially on pasta.
Great links, as always. I’m a big fan of the kitchen tips and can’t wait to hear more about your travels when you return.
Anna @ Fitness à la Anna
This is an amazing idea!! I want to read them all…!!!
Alisha @ Alisha's Appetite
I always learn so much from the blogging-related links you put up on these types of posts. Thanks for sharing (and what’s your secret to finding all of these great post!?)
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Just spending a decent amount of time on Twitter and browsing the web for topics that interest me.
Arman @ thebigmansworld
Thanks again for the shout out, Amanda! I actually (as selfish as this sounds) am looking forward to you returning…..those amazing pictures left me in AWE and I cannot wait for the recap 😉 I also loved that splenda article- so so true! When I went through that aspartame/sucralose worshiping phase, the more I had it, the more I wanted it!
I also tried Davida’s recipe- and accidentally forgot about it. Blackened apples weren’t particular tasty. 2 things today- 2 statistics chapters and some work. Party or what.
Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
I have that vanilla honey chai tea latte pinned to make – it looks amazing! I love all those cooking tips too. I feel like I always pick out the least juicy lemons and limes, so I’m going to have to try that microwaving tip next time!
Two things I did today were go for a run and go to a soup festival in Toronto!
Ellie@Fit for the soul
Ahhh you make road tripping sound like so much fun! Although I do love checking out all these different places, I hate being in the car for a long time and get fidgety, but now I kind of want to do what you’re doing. 😀 And I Hope you come back safely, Amanda!
I’m now having a chill time since Selah’s napping and mayyyyyybe visit my parents or sister??? 😀
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It’s definitely not easy to sit for so long, but constantly seeing new places and driving through beautiful scenery makes it worth it. A nice change to flying 🙂
Hollie
I’m not vegetarian but it certainly interesting to read about that. Wow.
I just got back from a 3 hour car ride and now I just want to sit here…forever…LOL.
Sarah @ Feeeding the Brain and Body
I love all these links! I always get something worthwhile out of your posts, that is why I always keep coming back 🙂
I know what you mean about car trips: the extended periods of sitting can be tedious, but the sights always make it worth while!
Hope you have a safe trip back.
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Thanks so much for sharing!! I’ve been wanting to make my own bread for awhile too and cinnamon rolls. I’m heading over to check out the links!! Safe travels to you getting back home.

Oh my gosh, the paper clip cherry pitter! Gah! Wish I had known about this months ago when I was cursing in my kitchen with a paring knife! Haha! And did I tel you? I found those seriously addictive apple chips on SALE at TJ Maxx! A HUGE bag for $6 marked down from $10! Then I hid the whole bag in the back of my pantry! Lol
Two things I’m doing today: Continue being lazy while sitting on the couch in my robe and slippers while catching up on blogs AND going to work…BOO!
Danica @ It's Progression
I love your comment about the Burger King fries…it makes me so sad that people will believe they’re any sort of a “healthy” choice, just because they’re claimed to be. I agree – still junk.
thanks so much for including my post! <3
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Of course! 😀
Liz @ The Girl on Fire Now

I will be baking something for my lovely neighbor who is getting married and hopefully going for a long swim! I love that article about what clean eating means, and the one about eating more to lose is SO important. Seeing as I lived that caloric restriction lifestyle first hand, that article is the perfect reminder that I’m now doing what’s right for my body and how important that is. Thanks for sharing all the great links! I hope you have a marvelous trip back. Praying that gorgeous weather awaits you xx

Today I did go to a boxing class, so now I’m going to be scouring the internet for cheap boxing gloves (because holy wow did I adore that class. So much fun in an “I’m a badass” sort of way). Also, my mom is coming over later with her dog and we’re going to take our pups to the park. yay Sunday!
