1. My phone somehow fell out of my coat pocket when I was getting out of my car the other day, and I’m pretty sure I had a full blown panic attack when I got home and couldn’t find it. After scouring my car multiple times, making several rounds of all the rooms in my house, and dumping the entire contents of my purse onto the living room floor (finding a rogue Hershey’s Kiss in the process… win!), I was literally on the verge of tears when one final car search revealed it wedged in that annoying ½ inch gap between the car seat and the door. I may or may not have cried in relief.
2. I really don’t like packing my meals. Between work and volunteering, Wednesdays usually keep me out of the house for close to 12 hours, which means I have to take a whole days worth of eats along with me when I leave in the morning. This sucks for a couple of reasons. First, I’ve become quite bad at meal planning (which is ironic since I spent so many years doing it), and I always worry that I’m not going to bring enough… or that I’ll get a craving for something that I won’t have on hand. Second, I don’t have a cute lunchbox to carry it all around in… I think it might be time to invest in one.
3. I’m also thinking about getting a pair of these…
No. No I’m not. That is a complete lie. Yesterday I actually saw a real life, in the flesh, living, breathing human being wearing those pants. I came across them on the internet a few times, but never thought that I’d see them in person. There really are no words, just one simple question – why? 😯
4. Also… why are gift bags, birthday cards, tissue paper, and all other present packing materials so dang expensive?! I was shopping around for a nice way to wrap my mom’s presents and it would have cost me something like $20. Uhm… what? I’m sorry but I’d rather buy her another present than spend the money on something that’s essentially going to end up in the trash. Time to get creative…
5. Thank you to whoever was my 700th Twitter follower – seeing this kind of thing was just like… *eye twitch*… So close!
6. All you need is…
7. … and maybe a box of this…
Although, to be honest, it’s probably not something I’m going to pick up. I don’t know about you guys, but ingredients lists that are a mile long and full of things that I can hardly pronounce don’t exactly pull me in, especially when I read reviews saying the product is mediocre at best. I could really go for a cinnamon toast muffin though… time to get creative [in the kitchen].
8. I was stuck in traffic the other day when this song by The Offspring came on the radio. Talk about taking me all the way back to junior high…

9. There’s nothing worse than climbing into bed for the night, getting all comfy, cozy, and warm, and then realizing that you forgot your phone in the other room (aka: what happened to me last night). The fact that I actually climbed out of bed to go and grab it is just proof of how ridiculously attached to that thing I am #sadbuttrue
10. Kaiah says… Brrrr it’s cold.
With all the nice weather we’ve been having lately, I thought for sure that spring was here to stay, but it looks like winter is going to be a pain in the butt and grace us with some more snow for the next 4 days… I have to laugh to keep myself from crying. Happy Thursday!

Muscle-printed leggings. Thoughts? Would you ever wear them?
What are some bands that were/are the epitome of high school for you?
Do long, complicated ingredients lists turn you off from buying a product?
Heather @ Kiss My Broccoli
Do you panic when you can’t find your phone? Do you keep it passcode protected? Omg, YES! Like totally freak the heck out! I don’t keep a passcode on it…but maybe I should…I really should download that find my phone app too!
Muscle-printed leggings. Thoughts? Would you ever wear them? Seriously…WHYYYYYY?! Ick!
What are some bands that were/are the epitome of high school for you? Green Day all the way baby! I’ve been a fan since I first heard “Good Riddance” in middle school! 🙂
Do long, complicated ingredients lists turn you off from buying a product? Right there with ya…I actually have the attention span of a small child so it kinda comes in handy for this…I take one look and if I can’t focus on ALL the ingredients within like 5 seconds, I’m done! But OMG, puhleeeeeeease find a way to recreate these muffins! I’ll love you forever!!
Cassie @RedLetterDaye
OMG, I completely agree with number 2. The not packing enough, the is this what I want to eat 8 hours from now, the giant and ugly “lunch sacks”, i.e., currently a trader joe’s tote. It’s kind of ridiculous. But the food I cook is cheaper and way more delicious than the awful excuse for a “cafe” at work.

about your phone getting “lost” in your car, I was once walking in the parking lot and I saw a wallet under a car!!! I immediately returned it to the address I found inside and it turns out it had fallen out of the girls pocket when she stepped out of her car yikkes!
Courtney @ Star Systemz
People always ask me how I am able to stay away from processed foods and I always say look at the ingredient list can you pronounce it? It keeps me away that’s for sure! I have been soon a rotisserie chicken kick so making salads and wraps has been easy and so tasty plus I have an amazing lunch box I picked up at tj maxx (they have them for like 7$ cute and Eco friendly),check it out 🙂 hope you have a great weekend! Love + Shine Courtstar
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
We don’t have a TJ Maxx up here in Canada 🙁 But from what it sounds like, we have a similar store called Winners so I’ll definitely have to look into it!
Sara @ Nourish and Flourish
Your phone panic story sounds VERY familiar! It happens to me far more times than I’d like to admit. Even more embarrassing: “losing” my phone in my monster-sized bag, frantically telling my friend that it’s gone, and then watching her dig it out from beneath the textbook, laptop, t-shirt, lipgloss, whatever-else-I-can-fit-in-there mishmash. I really need to stop carrying such large totes, but when I spend entire days away from home, they’re kind of a necessity. Oof.
Those pants!! Too funny. I’d love to order a pair and wear them to the gym. I bet I’d attract some priceless stares. Maybe for Halloween? Or April Fools Day next year?
I completely agree about meal planning–not fun. When I’m out all day, I usually pack snacks and then hit up the Whole Foods salad bar/hot bar/soup bar for meals. I also worry about food spoiling, and have thrown out meals that, after sitting in my bag for several hours, started to smell funny. Wasting food makes my heart break!
Tell Kaiah I say hi back! <3 xoxo
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More
Long ingredient lists mean the product stays on the shelf and hopefully far away from me! (At least MOST of the time)
Ashley @ AlmostVegGirlie
Long ingredient lists just weird me out, especially if there’s a similar product nearby with a much shorter and more natural ingredients list. It’s like, what’s the point of adding sodium dithexyl whatever if you could leave it out and still have a tasty product! That’s what I look for the most nowadays rather than just calories, I like knowing exactly what’s going in my body and while I don’t avoid all things processed, I always stick with the packaged products that have very short and very normal ingredients lists with things that I’ve heard of and know aren’t weird!
I hate packing lunches too. I usually just throw something quick and easy together, like a salad with fruit or a Larabar with carrots and just go with it. Those lunches are never as satisfying as the ones I get to make at home and enjoy at my own pace, though.
Chelsea @ One Healthy Munchkin
I don’t like packing my meals either. Luckily meal planning this semester has made it a lot easier for me, but it’s still a pain in the butt. Also I hate having to wash all those containers every day! 😛
Haha oh wow I can’t believe there’s a cinnamon toast muffin mix! I try not to buy products with long ingredient lists for my every day food, but if it’s for a one time thing, I don’t really care. A dose of chemicals every once in a while won’t kill me… and least I hope not haha.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m the same way, which is why I definitely wouldn’t mind a muffin or three, but I’m not sure I could get through the whole batch.
lindsay
why can’t cereals just be more simple. Sugar, cinnamon, flour, and goooooooooodness.
Don’t get me started on meal planning. I don’t. I can’t. my cravings change hourly
Aimee
I had almost the exact same thing happen to my iPhone about a month ago. I was getting out of my car and my phone somehow slipped out of my bag in the middle of the stret. I entered the mall and only then realized my phone was gone. I retraced my steps for about 30 minutes – no phone!! I was hysterical – panicking – thinking oh my god my entire life is on that phone. Thankfully I was able to all my sister in law who called my cell phone. Thankfully a woman had found my phone in the parking lot and was wondering whose it was! That half hour of my life was seriously one of the worst moments- it’s so crazy to think how much we rely on our iPhones!! Let alone how expensive they can be to replace. Happy you found yours!!
Kate @ Quarter Century Southern Living
Ohhhh my goodness, those pants, out of control. 700 Twitter followers is pretty amaze, but I’m not surprised, you’re awesome!!
Emily
Oh my god…those leggings. GAG. Who created those?! Seriously.
And it’s nice to know I’m not the only one who loathes packing lunches and meal-planning. I don’t understand how so many people seem to enjoy it?! First of all, I never know what I’m going to be craving ahead of time. And second…ain’t nobody got time for that!
Mary
I panic everytime I lose my phone and it always seems to be when I am at work (I work in a high school) so I freak out thinking what all the kids could find out about me, vow to delete all incriminating content from my phone when I finally find it, fail to remember to do this and repeat the whole process over again in a few days time!
Those pants are HORRIFIC!!!
Tessa @ Amazing Asset
Anytime I feel like I have lost my phone, even if I KNOW it was near me about 5 seconds ago, I flip a sh*t. The car thing has definitely happened to me… or putting it into my backpack that is similar to an abyss. Even though I am 100% sure I put it in there, if I can’t find it when I look… it’s GONE, someone stole it, it fell out! And then I see it right after the doom and gloom thoughts. Lol oi vey.
Those pants, just NO NO NO. I have seen skeleton ones too, just the bones. They make me feel a bit ill for more reasons than one
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve seen those skeleton ones too, but they kind of looked like an x-ray and I was strangely fascinated by them. I don’t think I’d ever actually wear something like that, but it’s like I can’t turn away…
Sunnie@moderngirlnutrition
Phone panic attacks are the worst! And those pants….!! Haha
Andrea @ Andrea out loud!
I do panic when I think I lose my phone! I haaate that feeling! It is passcode protected though because I have my work email on it, it actually makes me have a passcode!
Muscle leggings… yikes. They are scary and intriguing at the same time. Its like i cant stop looking haha.
Ja @ Ja on the RUN
My jaw just fell on the floor on your #3. LOL! I saw a wetsuit like that too when I was watching a Triathlon race. Unbelievable… same question…. WHY??! LOL!
