Happy 2018, friendly faces!! I told you I’d be back with some food in the New Year 🙂
So I’m sloooowly easing my way back into this whole food blogging/recipe creation thing, and I decided what better way to kick things off than by putting together a nice little roundup of healthy recipes for the new year. Kind of like exposure therapy. Or something.
See… when I took a break from posting recipes, I pretty much stopped browsing them, and Pinterest-ing, and reading blogs, and… basically all the things that I had been doing for the past couple of years. Not for any terrible reason, but the burnout was setting in super hard, and I just needed a break for a little while to refocus on some other areas of my life that I had been neglecting.
And now we’re back! With food! And a roundup of quick & easy recipes that you can (and totally should) make this year to help you achieve any health-related goals you might have set for yourself. And if your goals revolved around something else? No problem! You should totally make these anyways because they’re just that darn tasty.
One thing I will say, though… is that I really need to look into making more savoury recipes. It’s no secret that I have a huge sweet tooth and my skills in the kitchen lean more towards baking and snack-making, but… geez… I have like 300+ recipes on Spoons, and maaaaaybe 5 of those are savoury if you really push your imagination. Sigh. I just don’t know how to cook well. I can admit that. Most of my meals are super basic and definitely not worth sharing on the blog.
BUT! I guess that’s something I can add to the list of goals for 2018. I actually have two savoury recipes penciled in for January. And I say “penciled in” because I’m hopeful but not 100% confident in my abilities to turn an idea into reality 😆
But enough chatter. Happy New Year again, fam, and here’s 30 quick & easy recipes for a healthy year!! (mostly breakfast/snack types because… see above)

So many delicious recipes to choose from Amanda, but I think if I had to choose for me it would be the no bake salted caramel pretzel bars. Yummy! Happy New Year to you! Here’s to a great one!

Yum so many good ones! Happy NY to you–welcome back to the recipe world. I admire your sweet making skills as I’m more of a savory cook than a baker/snack maker. Looking forward to seeing what you create this year!
