Thanks so much Amanda! How was Finding Dory? I want to see it!

That article that you put from Erin on the top. That was SO good. <3 Every one in fitness should read it. I needed to read it.
And …. for Father's Day, we had my dad and my grandfather here, so we had a huge meal. We even got to enjoy gluten free chocolate cake, meringue pie, and strawberry shortcake. We sang. We ate. We just enjoyed each other's company. What did you do?
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
That sounds like an awesome day, Emily, and thanks so much for asking about mine! I went over to my parents’ place with a huge batch of my dad’s favourite double chocolate cookies and we mostly just hung out at home. We had a BBQ, plays a few games, and ended the night with some movies. It was a good one.

Yesterday: Lunch with my dad, dinner with my father in law, did zero food prepping
today: cried over lack of food prep in the morning, went to work, ate lunch outside

Ah, you make me want to re-watch Finding Nemo because the new movie won’t be released over here until … sometime next year, I think?
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Can you believe Nemo came out 13 years ago?!?!?!

Love the linked on clean eating you posted as this is something I’ve been annoyed with by quite some time, but I must ask (not assume or judge,) it SEEMS (I know I don’t know your whole life or eats) that you have a clean eating blog and though I love you WIAW posts, you always eat “clean?” Genuine question as I’ve been a reader for a long time and just didn’t know…
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Thanks for the question, JL! I appreciate the non-assumptive approach 🙂 I included those links in there because I really liked how they addressed the obsessive mentality behind clean eating and the fear and guilt that comes with it.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with eating healthy, but I don’t like it when clean eating becoming someone’s main goal in life. I mean, I really love a lot of healthy foods (both in terms of taste and how they make me feel in the long run), but I also don’t balk at eating unhealthier options. And I think that’s the main thing for me -> I just don’t think about it very much. If I eat healthy, great. If I don’t, whatever. Ya know? I’m not sitting here worrying about it and that carefree attitude is the biggest shift I noticed from back in the day when I was suffering from my ED and then battling in recovery as well -> I’m not living to eat clean anymore. It’s not really easy to capture that balance in WIAWs since I stopped doing them for such a long time and I only do them every other week, but I’m really hoping that between those and my recipes, I can give people ideas for delicious healthy options without making them think that it’s the ONLY way to eat. That’s why I don’t label anything as clean and why I never demonize things like sugar or gluten.
Also, that was a novel 😆 But thanks for the thoughtful Q! You got my brain churning and I might talk about this a little more in my next WIAW 🙂
Amy
Does anyone else have trouble with the site running slowly and repeatedly being kicked off? I use it on my I pad. It’s very frustratingly! Not sure if it’s due to all the ads or not,
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Sorry to hear that you’re having issues, Amy! No one else has mentioned anything and I’m not having any problems myself, but I’ll definitely look into it to see if I can find a reason why.

It was sooooooo good! So good. There’s definitely a reason that it absolutely KILLED it on opening weekend (136.2M?!?!). I just can’t believe that Nemo came out over 13 years ago. Like… what??!
