Happy Sunday, friendly faces! đ¤
Can I tell you a secret? We’ve been having a pretty rainy weekend so far and I kind of love it. I mean, yeah – it was a little annoying not to be able to get my long ride in yesterday – but I used it as an excuse to spend a little extra time in the kitchen and whipped up a handful of recipes that I can’t wait to share with you guys.
That and the gloom and doom made cozying up to my newest obsession (golden milk everything) that much better…
I think today is supposed to be a bit better, so maybe I can sneak some biking in today.
I hope you guys are having an awesome weekend, and I hope you enjoy these links I came across this week!

It’s sunny and warm here (although not too hot) and I love it because I can go outside with Ave. She loves it out there; it’s really calming for her. Yesterday we went for two walks around the park.
Run Wright
I like rainy days that I can spend inside or when I don’t have a ton of errands.
That golden milk is intriguing. I’ll have to check it out.

Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health
Rainy days are so good for getting work done! The lighting is so pretty too. đ
I need to read that article on writing because that has been my biggest struggle lately. I find myself procrastinating and it is no bueno.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve found that with lighting and rainy days as well. I like them better than super sunny days because it means I can get right up against the window without having to worry about being in harsh light.
Liora (Allthingsloveli)
I love that link about photography backgrounds- I’m trying to be as creative as possible so I’m not buying new props and backgrounds all the time!
Kathleen
Bummer that you couldn’t ride as planned, but there’s nothing like a rainy, gray day with a cup of coffee and a blank page. Really love these links, especially the strength training one! Have a good week.
Yesterday: did my long run, went to the beach, binged on documentaries,
Today: moved out of my college dorm for the last time, sat outside in perfect weather, watching the penguins right now.

(Yay for the Pens!! đ )
Catherine @ foodiecology
Today I cleaned my living room, did some shopping for the baby (diapers and food, oh boy) and am going to later enjoy hamburgers off the grill. Have a great week, Amanda!
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday
Yesterday: Took my dog to the park, bought half of the inventory at Trader Joe’s, recipe-tested!
Today: Cleaning some of the house, recipe-testing, and maybe starting a puzzle (it’s 1000 pieces of old-school cereal boxes âşď¸)
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Ok, that puzzle sounds amazing. It’s been forever since I”ve done one and you’re making me want to give it a go!
Hollie
It’s funny because we are dealing with the complete opposite here. It’s extremely hot weather with little to no shade!
Cassie
It was actually drizzling yesterday, haha! I’ve been waiting for the sun too đ but these links are great! I love HBH’s Farmers Market hummus as well!
Kelsey Yoki
We had the best stormy/gloomy weather on Friday morning, and I hoped at least one day this weekend would be like that! As weird as that may sound, those days make for the coziest feeling and help add an extra dose of motivation in my life!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
For sure! It’s nice to have more of an excuse to relax đ
Sarah @ BucketListTummy
3 things to do today – get a workout in, do some meal prep, and hopefully head on the lake later since it’s so hot here! Have a great Sunday!
Alyssa
It has been kinda rainy here in MA too! Today is looking like it’s going to clear up. I am working today, then I want to write a blog post later on and get some errands done. Have a great Sunday Amanda!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment
I have to admit I love the occasional gloomy, rainy day. Perfect excuse to stay in with not guilt. Your golden milk looks fabulous.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
The guilt! I hear it. That’s actually one of the reasons I’m always looking forward to fall by the end of summer – I’m worn out and just want an excuse to relax more đ
Kate
Today I’m going to church, lunch with my granddaddy, and hopefully swimming. Yesterday I worked, went swimming, and grilled out! I’m loving this warm sunny weather. Rainy days are nice when I’m already tired!
Happy Fit Mama (@happyfitmama)
It was gloomy here yesterday and I thought it was going to be the same today but just as I clicked on your post, the sun came out. Hope it’s out at your place today too!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It comes in little burst. But it DID start raining while the sun was shining, so I thought that was pretty awesome đ
Michele @ Paleorunningmomma
I’m also a secret rainy day lover mainly because there’s no pressure! I’d love a day to just try out a bunch of recipes that have been in my head for a while.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
That’s the worst part, eh? So much food, not enough time!
