Happy Sunday, friendly faces! š¤
How’s the day been treating you? Or how’d yesterday treat you since I’m assuming many of you are reading this in the morning before the day really had a chance to do much of anything. Did that even make sense?
So this weekend’s been pretty darn good in my neck of the woods, even though IĀ burntĀ the roof of my mouth on a molten hot blueberry while doing some recipe testing for the book.Ā Thank goodness for the healing cooling powers of frozen hot chocolate smoothies…
See what I did just there? š Yeaaaaaahhhhh, girl!
In all seriousness, though, the weekend’s been a good one. Tell me what you’ve been up to. And then go ahead and enjoy these great links that I came across this week. I’ll see your lovely faces again in a few days!

Ohh, cool week! Thanks for sharing that! I think prior to the last āstormā I went through, I have always felt hopeless during those harder times. But Iāve had some break throughās and now I understand how this all works. Hard times come but they donāt last forever. I can appreciate the harder times now because I know thereās A LOT to learn during them too!
Lauren @ The Bikini Experiment
Thank you for the link regarding the gluten free diet. It was very interesting. I believe that many people are sensitive to wheat because of the over processing. This should not be confused with needing a gluten free diet. There are ways to make healthy substitutes with other whole grains.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I wholeheartedly agree! I also heard a lot of things about GMO’s being the reason that more and more people are having issues, which is why I think it’s important to stick to organic when possible.

I enjoy reading this post and seeing what you like reading. This weekend was a lot of fun, I got to hang out with my husband, race in North Jersey and today I’m just working (eh the boring day I guess).
Ellen @ My Uncommon Everyday
Yesterday: Went to Wanderlust 108, did some reading for my social science class, and ate freshly-baked cookies with my roommates
Today: Grocery shopping, homework, and hopefully some foam-rolling! My hips are reeeally feeling my first run in six months.
Jess @ Keeping It Real Food
Yesterday, I went to pilates, did some writing, and went to a wedding in the evening. Today I woke up way too early for no reason, so I had a chance to go grocery shopping and to yoga and squeezed in a 20-minute cat-nap.
Hope you’re having a great Sunday : )
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I was up early for no reason today too! š„ I’m hoping a cat nap is in the schedule for me.
Catherine @ foodiecology
I really need to make that frozen hot chocolate smoothie this week…yum!
This weekend was spent at a walk for mental health awareness, lunch out, watching some Kimmy Schmidt, and grocery shopping today. And if I’m not too lazy, washing my car.
Have a lovely Sunday!
GiselleR @ Diary of an ExSloth
I spent all day yesterday doing housework then vegged out in the (now clean) living room and binged on Grace & Frankie. I always forget how exhausting vacuuming is LOL
Today I plan to spend the day in the kitchen and finish the rest of G&F because I can’t get enough.
Alyssa @ Renaissancerunnergirl
I know so many people talking about the Biggest Loser article who kept telling me “that’s why running doesn’t work!” Which makes me want to grind my teeth (bad) because weight loss is SO FAR from the reason I run…
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
*nods* Totally understand that. When you love a sport, you love it hard and calories don’t even enter the equation.
suzysuzyheather
That Biggest Loser article was fascinating!! Three things yesterday: Went out for coffee with my oldest teenager, took my step-daughter shopping for running clothes, got my stuff all ready for my race this morning. Today: race a half marathon, eat, drink!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Gah! I’m a little late to wish you good luck, but I hope your race went well!!!
Happy Fit Mama (@happyfitmama)
Yesterday: Baseball and gymnastics for the kids in the morning, trail run with a friend, date night with the hubs for an early anniversary dinner.
Today: Yoga, Mountain Biking for kids clinic, run
Have a great day!

We’re having a good weekend over here too! Yesterday Drew and I made your rice crispy treats and my family went nuts over them. Seriously, they fought over scraps and crumbs, so easy and a big winner š I also finally experimented with homemade gummy candy, ran 4 miles, and got some work done. Today we’re having Drew’s birthday party and other than that, blogging. Have a great Sunday!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I still can’t get over the fact that you made your own gummies! Like I said, if you make jelly beans, I’m moving in š
