Happy Sunday Daylight Savings, friendly faces… đ´
How are we feeling? Are we tired and cranky after losing an hour from our mornings?
I’m feeling surprisingly fantastijazzical, and I say surprisingly because I’m pretty sure I’m a little sleep deprived at this point. See, we had some crazy a*s wind around these parts on Saturday morning, and I ended up waking up at 3am and not being able to fall back asleep. I had no idea what to do with myself, so I started working on a few projects and ended up having one of the most productive days that I’ve had in for.ev.er. I normally try not to work too much on the weekends, but when you’re in the zone, you’ve gotta milk it for all it’s worth… right? And it definitely feels awesome to have a little less on my plate — I’m almost hoping for a repeat today đ
I’m also hoping that you guys are having an awesome weekend, and that you find some good reads in these links I found for you this week. See your lovely faces tomorrow!

So I skipped almost all of your glorious links this week. Forgive me; I’m too far behind, except the phone one because distraction. đ I know you understand.

You always have the best link ups! I like the bodyweight workout article from Huffington Post-thanks for sharing!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m glad you like them, Sarah! It’s always nice to know that people are reading đ

I totally hear you about the working weekends thing. A few years of working weekends at the hospital has totally whacked my perception of days of the week, so it makes it hard to find a balance, especially when it comes to writing projects I do for my other business. Haha I think my brain melted a little just typing that. Hope you’re adjusting to Daylight Savings ok : )
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m always tempted to do a tonne of work on the weekends to get ahead and make the rest of the week a little easier. It’s hard to take full days off when you know you’ll have to double time when you get back.

Thanks so much for sharing my post on tools for bloggers & creative entrepreneurs. Glad you found it useful! Hope you are enjoying the weekend — time change and all!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Thank you for the great post, Bev! It was super helpful đ

We had the crazy wind on Thursday night, so I guess it made its way over and up to you by Saturday! It was the hugest windstorm we’ve had in a long time. It was super awesome that it was garbage day that day too and all our garbage was blown onto the driveway and the roadway, our cans rolling down the street. Gotta love that.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Hahaha! Sorry. But I’ve chased my fair share of garbage cans down the street, so I totally know what it’s like. I’m hoping our windstorm decides to move somewhere else because it’s been pretty bad all day…
Miss Polkadot
It’s funny you’d mention the time change because this had me confused until yesterday when I looked it up and realized – with relief đ – that itâs not happening over here for another two weeks. The same is true for Mother’s Day which isn’t until May. I wonder why these aren’t on the same date worldwide.
Yay for being in the zone work-wise. I’ll keep my fingers crossed you’ll have another productive day today.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Our Mother’s Day is in May as well. I think it’s on the 8th this year? I seriously have no idea how the whole time change thing works, though, and why some countries change on different dates đ
Leah M @ love me, feed me
Woops I completely forgot that we jumped ahead an hour, thanks for the reminder haha! So many good links to read!!
Yesterday: went for (a not so great or vegan friendly) brunch with my roommates, went to see a movie, and came home and watched another movie đ
Today: blog, hopefully test a recipe, and do some yoga!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I completely forgot about the time change when I woke up as well! So I got out of bed thinking it was 4:30, when it was only 3:30 according to the old time. Womp womp…

I’m a little sleepy this morning and I wish I could have slept in a little more but I love mornings so much that I just couldn’t haha. Always excited to get me day started with coffee đ

Oh, Amanda, I cannot wait to read the Splenda and cancer post first. I’ve been preaching that since that stuff came on the market. Really great links this week (when don’t you share great links, though?)! Thank you. Okay, let’s see, 3 things: yesterday-worked on and published a post, binge watched the original House of Cards, went out to lunch with the husband; today-well, that’s still up in the air. LOL!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I love that you’re anti-artificial sweetener! It’s something my mom’s been drilling into me as far back as I can remember, which is probably why I’ve always been afraid to drink diet soda. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!
Regina L. L. Wells
Absolutely. When I first tasted an artificial sweetener in a diet soda in middle school, something intuitively told me that that taste could not be safe.
Kelsey
I actually thought it was going to go better than most years; we set all the clocks ahead yesterday evening to kind of get in the zone. But, regardless of that, still woke up a little out of it. I’m usually one of those people who gets right out of bed when I wake up, but it almost took me an hour to do so today. Hope to move past it and get some stuff done today before the work week begins!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
At least we’ll have an extra hour of daylight to get things done đ
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
One of the perks of living in AZ is no time change and I’m glad too because I seem to be suffering from insomnia. Have not slept well in days. đ
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’m with ya, lady đ I totally forgot about the time change this morning so I got out of bed at 3:30 thinking it was 4:30. That’s two days in a row now… Hope you get some better sleep tonight!
Michele @ PaleoRunningMomma
Unfortunately due to a sick child I lost more than just an hour last night – never ending! Hoping we all get rested up today, we’ll see.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Aww no đ Hope whoever got sick is feeling better!
The Cookie ChRUNicles
I hate the time change! totally ruins my morning runs now for a bit lol 3 things yesterday – long run, went to the city for the day, had one of my fave frozen yogurts from bloomingdales, 3 things today – fixing my dumb site which is down again, pure barre, out for lunch.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
It seriously made this morning feel eeeeeeextra long. And your site is working for me right now – I hope you managed to work things out!
