Happy Sunday, friendly faces!
How the heck’s your weekend been? Mine’s been… uneventful. I had plans to get a lot of things done, but my stomach started feeling a little wonky on Friday night and I ended up just hanging around at home for the better part of yesterday. I don’t think I actually came down with anything, but I didn’t really feel up for anything either… ya know? Here’s to today being a better one!
On the plus side, I finally got to indulge in a bit of reading beyond the usual handful of pages that I manage to sneak in before I pass out for the night, so that was nice. And I got to spend most of the night vegging out on the couch with some classic movies, which was super relaxing. Funny how our bodies have a way of forcing us to slow down sometimes…
And speaking of time! I hope you find some to check out these awesome reads I came across this past week. And I’ll see your friendly faces soon!
For my head…

Loved a few of these as well! I always like posts that are letters to someone’s body <3

The granola! The cupcakes! I have no off switch when it comes to both granola and chocolate ganache. Do you have a Milestones near you? Do you ever go? Have you ever tried their Ganache Torte? I don’t think the USA-ers have Milestones!

Hope you start feeling well soon! I hate those “Is it a cold? What is this thing?” feeling. I’ve been having a terrible time sleeping this past week so have been trying to do what I can to keep my energy and immune system up.
Yesterday I went to yoga, got my hair cut, and had dinner with my family. Today I hung out with my mom while she tried some new recipes this morning, and next up is lunch out and then a BYOB painting class. It’s nice to take a weekend off for a change!

I’m sorry to hear you had stomach wonkiness. That’s no good, and I hope it’s all better today. You are right, the body will slow us down whether we want it or not. It’s usually smarter than we are.
My one neighbor posts pictures all the bad park jobs she spies on Facebook along with the caption, “Nailed It.” It’s pretty funny.
I’m excited for the life lessons I can learn from a child. I think I have a host of them coming my way.
Those walking paths are amazing. We need to put them on our bucket list. Oh by the way, we need to start a walking path bucket list.
Today: I’m going to read about ten more of your links (damn you; blows kiss), have brunch with my friends and then do some shopping for wall scones, and bathroom and bedroom accessories.
P.S. Thanks for including my granola.

Amanda, I am loving this week’s list. The 9 WP Design Mistakes to Avoid is one of my favorite blog posts…great minds and all! I can’t say that I did much of anything. I worked on the blog and social media yesterday (especially cleaning up my Pinterest pins and boards). I’ve been sick all week and just feeling like myself again today for the first time. I also watched a bunch of classics on TCM yesterday…wondering if we caught any of the same movies! Have a great rest of the weekend and week. Thank you so much for hosting Link Love!

Hope you feel better! The stomach flu has been going around lately and it’s pretty darn awful. Thanks for the linkup and happy Sunday!
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
I was down with a stomach something last week. I actually think it was an allergic reaction but not exactly sure what yet. Sometimes I feel like I’m constantly experimenting to figure things out.

Our bodies are so smart in the way that they force us to slow down when we need to. I’m glad you got some needed rest and hopefully you are feeling back to normal.
Great links Amanda!

That’s how my week has been as well. It was a solid week but I think that has to partly do too the weather not being too crazy. I can take this warmer weather anytime!

Don’t even talk to me about stomachs! glad yours didn’t progress into the virus I had. I am still trying to feel normal and eat normal.Ugh!
Michele @ PaleoRunningMomma
We’ve had wonky stomach stuff all week so I feel you! I’m also with you on needing to work smarter and not harder. Why do I keep putting that off? Yesterday I went to lunch with a friend, spent some time on Pinterest (lol) and actually put away technology for a solid 4 hours. Today I’m running long, hopefully cleaning and hosting a kid playdate 🙂 Thanks for featuring my cupcakes!
