Happy Sweet & Savory Saturdays, friendly faces!
15 Healthy Blueberry Recipes – most original title ever, right? I know I know, but that’s literally the only thing that came to mind when I thought “blueberries.” Actually, the only thing that came to mind was that scene in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where Violet Beauregarde turns into a giant blueberry after eating some experimental blueberry pie gum. And while I was tempted to go with something like “15 Healthy Blueberry Recipes That Would Turn Violet Beauregarde Green With Envy,” I figured the shorter version would be a little more practical, especially for those who’ve never read Willy Wonka (the horror!).
So we’re talking blueberry recipes today! But first, a look back at the top 3 recipes from last week’s pancake roundup…

I’ve only read Willie Wonka (or is the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I can never remember which is the movie and which is the book!) once as a little girl, but I LOVED the original movie! That scene with Violet is one of my favorites… Brings back so many fond memories of family movie nights! 🙂 And thank you for including my banana bread — you’re so sweet Amanda!!
Everything looks awesome! I just saw my first little box of blueberries here in China. Can’t wait until their fully in season!
Omg I love blueberries so much. I’m going to drool over all of these today…prob while eating blueberries.
Haha, I love you, Amanda! You say the kind of stuff my siblings and I think, which is awesome!
Yes, I’ve read it, but not watched it. I was secretly thrilled that you said “read” in your post, because it seems with so many movies that have been made from books, people a lot of times haven’t read (or known of!) the book. (Which I have been “guilty” of myself. 😉 ) I don’t have anything against movies made from books, except when they occasionally ruin something. Which is, of course, subjective. 🙂
I had to throw ‘read’ in there because I remember reading it as a little kid! Most of the time I try to read the books before watching the movies, otherwise I have a hard time imagining the book as I want it without seeing the actors as the characters. And I totally think that the books are almost always better than the movies.
There’s so much blueberry goodness in this post, and I LOVE it. Bring on the berries!!
Waffles, pancakes, muffins, breakfast cakes……these are a few of my favorite things!!! (with blueberries!!)
Thinking of blueberries just reminds me of how much I miss summer! Every summer my mom buys 50 pounds of blueberries to make blueberry pies for the whole family. Love when they are huge!
50 lbs?!?! Hoooooly snap. I’d be in heaven.
i cannot keep up with all your amazing food! and these round ups. They need to come with a warning. Like –> BRING NAPKIN to wipe drool. haha. P.s. Bake for me. I need your peanut free tips and creations.
Deal. Will work for [peanut-free] Healthy Bites 😀
Wow, this is like a treasure trove of blueberry recipes! And we actually have blueberries! Praise GOD! 🙂 That’s definitely providential. 🙂
PLEASE tell me you actually had to look up that girl’s last night, cause the fact that you could remember that baffles my mind. Either that or I need to start paying better attention during movies….
Also, is it bad that I purposely created a recipe so that I could join your link-up? Cause I totally did…. #noshame
Lolol! I love it! And I remembered the girl’s name (#geek), but I didn’t know how to spell her last name so I had to Google that 😆
I love to snack on frozen blueberries. Especially the super fat ones! They aren’t in season right now so I am truly missing the fresh ones.
Me too 🙁 Soon though!
I have a deep love for blueberries! Not to play favorites, but they’re probably my favorite berry.
Yours and mine both!
Loving your Sweet & Savory Saturdays and all of the blueberry recipes in your roundup look absolutely irresistible! Choosing my favorite berry is pretty difficult, but blueberries just might be tops! 🙂
Blueberries are my absolute favorite. I love to when they are in season and we find wild blueberries out hiking. So good!
Yesssss! I literally eat my weight in blueberries when they’re in season so that it’ll last me through the winter. Not too much longer now!
I love Willy Wonka! My favorite berry is strawberries to eat plain or blueberries in baked goods 😊
We had a blueberry Velvet cake for Valentine’s Day and now I’m craving blueberries all of the time since. These all look great Amanda. I think it would be fun for blueberry pancakes to add food coloring so they turn bright blue!
Gah! That would be Willy Wonka to a whole new level! I wonder if you could blend the batter in a blender along with the blueberries to get them to turn blue. Curious.
I do think of WIlly Wonka whenever I’m eating blueberries! Blueberries and strawberries are my favorites and definitely blueberry for baking 🙂
