Happy Sunday, friendly faces!
And Happy Valentine’s Day!! I know, I know… It’s a Hallmark holiday that a lot of people love to snark on, but I’m wishing you a happy one anyways because why the heck not?! If you were here, I’d even make you some blueberry pancakes…
… but you’re not here so that was basically nothing but a shameless plug 😉 Love you!
So hey! How’s your weekend going so far? I spent most of mine catching up on all the errands I neglected while my attention was devoted to fixing Spoons, so it felt nice to kind of disconnect and get back to real life. And on the topic of Spoons, how are we liking the new look?!? I know it looks pretty similar to the old one, but I wanted to keep the overall feel the same and just improve on some of the finer details. I’m still playing around with some of the coding and customization, but I’m really happy with it overall – it feels like home!
And now that I’ve talked your ears (eyes?) off, it’s time to get to the awesome links I found this week over the past two weeks. I tried not to go overboard after not having a chance to post last week, so you’re welcome for not putting 50+ tabs into your browser 😜

I love the new look! I totally did a super-excited-freak out-squeal when I first saw it…I love how it still looks like the same old Spoons and yet it has a bit of a facelift and new layout (absolutely *loving* the menu!!). Have a great weekend, Amanda! <3
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Thanks so much, girl! It definitely feels more comfy and cozy 😀

Hi Amanda! I’m a little late to the party, I know. I want to click on the anxiety link so bad because I’ve struggled with anxiety for as long as I can remember, but for some reason, articles on anxiety, or conversations about it actually GIVE me anxiety. Do you ever get that? Or am I crazy? I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder by a psychiatrist at BC Women’s Hospital after I had my first child 16 years ago. I went through so much therapy and dealt with all the underlying stuff and I feel like I am able to manage it well, except I can’t so much read up on it, or focus on it. WEIRD.
Anyway, sorry for the tangent there. I think I’ll focus on the chocolate hazelnut crepes. LOL. YUMMM. 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
That’s awesome that you’ve learned to manage your anxiety well, Suzy! And if it means having to avoid reading about anxiety, then hey — that’s not too bad at all!
Alysia at Slim Sanity
Ah! Guess I need to check out desktop! I’m here on mobile 🙂

Gah! I seriously need to get around to sprucing up my media kit as well. Another thing to add to the to-do list I guess 😆

I love seeing you in my blog reader first thing this morning, although maybe not a link love post since I just lost 20 minutes of time. Just kidding, you know I’m hooked on these. The cheat codes were fantastic (water, it’s always water) and I loved the It’s Not My Size Anymore post. I also pinned the How To Create A Blog Media Kit for the future….maybe one day.
Yesterday: I made lunch (woohoo), had dinner out with family and finally finished trying on the last box of maternity clothes (my least favorite thing).
Today: I intend to work on my WIR post, tear up the rest of the carpet, and go antiquing for a headboard, since the Hubby is not a fan of the ones I choose online. Maybe after a little antique store shopping, he will be… 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I was happy to see myself in my BL feed this morning too, but I miss seeing SOMEONE *cough cough* in there as well. Just saying. Also… I think my comment reply notification is now busted. It’s always something…
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
Looking good around here girl! Yesterday I finished a few blog posts, attended cycle instructor certification class and fixed my internet which went down. Talk about technology woes!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Ohh I totally empathize with the technology woes 🙁 Hope everything is working smoothly for you again!
Miss Polkadot
It’s great to hear and see Spoons is running [no pun intended] smoothly again.
Yesterday involved picking my mum up from a station a little further away, going for a walk and trying a new recipe. Today will include blogging, shooting said recipe [fingers crossed for good lighting!] and cleaning. Where are my house elves when I need them??
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
They’ve been evading me as well. Humph. Happy Valentine’s, Miss! <3
Hollie
I’m glad your site is working well again. I can only imagine the frustration. I thought the Buzzfeed hacks were super interesting and thanks for sharing.

Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Hollie! I hope that you and Tim are having an awesome day 😀
Michele @ PaleoRunningMomma
Happy Valentines Day 🙂 3 things yesterday were long run, dealing with annoying phone issues (that counts because it took up hours, ugh) and dinner out. Today will be blogging, baking cupcakes and staying inside away from the insane cold we’re having!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Happy Valentine’s Day, Michele! Baking cupcakes sounds like an awesome way to deal wit the cold!
