Happy Sunday, friendly faces!
I hope everyone over on the east coast managed to stay safe and dry this weekend, especially those who had (have?) races scheduled. Our weather hasn’t been terrible, by comparison, but it’s not exactly anything to write home about either. Cloudy, windy, wet, cold. They told us we might even get some snow, but the white stuff has yet to make an appearance so let’s hope it stays that way.
But enough about the weather — you’re here for some good reads and I’m here to give you some. Along with a little sneak peak of what’s coming at your lovely faces tomorrow…
… and what I’m enjoying as.we.speak. What? I test recipes multiple times, which usually means I have multiple batches lying around. And if that means having to eat delicious breakfast bakes for dinner, then I guess that’s just a sacrifice I’m going to have to make…
See your lovely faces tomorrow! Have an awesome Sunday.
For my head…

Love all these fall-inspired recipes you’ve linked! That pumpkin pie smoothie bowl is calling my name.

Pretty much spent all weekend at home, because I don’t want to believe that summer is over. So not ready for the cold yet haha
Also, thanks for all the great links. Fell into an internet black hole reading them all and almost forgot to comment LOL

Yesterday I realized it was actually fall/October. It’s so easy to lose track of the seasons when the weather is either hot and sunny or cold and foggy haha.
Yesterday: Long run, went to an event for the blog, sushi with a friend
Today: Run, maybeeeee trekking to Ikea, working on a project!

Happy Sunday, Amanda. Sadly, today I will be staying home all day memorizing choreography for a class I have to teach tomorrow. Thanks for sharing these great links. Enjoy your day! 🙂
Sam @ Grapefruit & Granola
Thanks for sharing these links! I liked the post about how to be an efficient blogger. I can definitely relate to blogging from the couch, which is what I am doing right now 🙂 I’ve been working on an office but haven’t cleaned everything up well enough to use it. Maybe that post will give me some motivation! I am in NC and has been super rainy here. My front yard kind of flooded a little bit but it looks better today. Hope you’re having a good weekend!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
As someone who works from home, I can definitely attest to the fact that setting up an office space makes a huge difference. So… this is me remind you to clean up your office 😛

That fitness myths article was very interesting!!!

Definitely checking out the book list…even though I think I already have about 40 on my to-read list already!
Yesterday: sat in a car for 11 hours or so (holy long day road tripping), ate Subway for dinner, went to the Little Bighorn Monument
Today: going to Wall Drugs in Wall, South Dakota, driving, and then driving some more.

Just a teeeeeeny bit jealous. I love road trips!
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
Thank for sharing my post! Means a lot to me 🙂 The weather is improving here and thankfully, as you know, I was able to get my race in yesterday. I hope everyone else could too!

That Sweet Potato Lentil Stew looks perfect for me. It’s right up my alley.
Also, I’ve actually read a ton of books on that list, which of course makes me feel all literary and fancy. Note: bring lots of book when you come. I suspect we’ll do some fire place lounging and hot cocoa drinking.
Yesterday: I had friends over for brunch, which was a smashing success if I do say so myself and I do. Then I made an apple pie and went to the in-laws for dinner, which means today I might do absolutely nothing and that’s totally ok.
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
That Sweet Potato and Lentil Stew sounds fantastic. Also it’s only 9:30 a.m. and for some reason I’m starving. So unlike me this early.
Also I’m happy to report I read a ton of those books. Speaking of which, bring some good ones. I see lots of fires and hot chocolate in our future.
Yesterday: I had friends over for brunch, made an apple pie and dinner with the in-laws. Pretty impressive, which means today I might do a whole lot of nothing, aside from a little blog reading that is. I’m not making any commitments though.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
If it makes you feel any better, I’m usually starving by 5:30am 😛 And books, fires, and chocolate sound wonderful. I can’t wait.
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner
Yesterday spent time with friends, played with their kids, and pretty much relaxed in anticipation for today…my race. I am surprisingly nervous but still hopeful I will do just fine. Wish me luck!

I hope you had an awesome race, Daisy!

Great links! I love the ‘120 books you just can’t put down’ and the science side of me loves the ‘8 causes of anxiety and depression that we often overlook’ because it is SO TRUE and I’ve seen it way to often. When our bodies physiologically aren’t functioning at an optimal or even partially optimal level it will create a psychological response – but I think it’s so easy to separate physical health and mental health in our minds. On the weather note, I think it starts raining every time I step outside??
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve definitely picked up on the physical-mental connection before! I notice my anxiety and attention are a lot harder to manage when my stomach is acting up or my food isn’t digesting properly.
Megan @ Skinny Fitalicious
Hopefully it won’t snow yet for you! It’s supposed to finally cool off in AZ the next two days by 20 degrees.
