Happy Sunday, friendly faces! 😀
I feel like I use that line to open up all of these Link Love posts, but it works and it’s kind of become my thing, so why mess? Starting a post is probably my least favourite part of the whole writing process, and I’ll usually skip the intro entirely and come back to it at the very end… which doesn’t always work in my favour because it’ll sometimes have me writing at 11:52pm the night before. As is the case right now.
So how’s your weekend been so far? Mine’s been a nice mix of work and play, fuelled predominantly by a batch of these Flourless Double Chocolate Cherry Brownies…
…. which you should really go check out the recipe for if you haven’t already. And when I say “a batch,” I really mean a batch… as in, not one crumb got left behind. Thank goodness it cooled down so that I can turn on my oven without wanting to die — I may just have to whip up some more… to share with my parents when I go over there for dinner tonight. Obviously 😛
But that’s enough rambling from me! You’re here to find some good links, and I’m here to share them. Hope you find something you like, and I’ll see you tomorrow!

I love hearing reasons why coffee is good for you. It helps me justify my habit.
Also we need to put some of those hotels on our bucket list. Bali, here we come.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I may or may not put those coffee links in for purely selfish reasons as well. And next summer, let’s do Bali.

I’m all over those cherry brownies!
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
ughhh i’m so far behind in blog reading it’s ridiculous. But thank you so much for the link love friend!!! <3 much appreciated!
Annnnd blog intros are the absolute worst.

Smugly sipping on a cup of coffee as I read about the “20 Wonderful Health Benefits of Coffee”…AMEN! Hope you had a lovely Sunday- mine involved a long walk, a bit of shopping, coffee & dessert with a friend, and dinner out with some other friends!

Oh my gosh, I feel the exact same way about starting posts! Especially series posts, but all of them really! I was hoping it would get better with time, but if you still feel this way, I think there’s no hope for me, lol! Three things I did yesterday (is it bad that I’m having trouble remembering what I did?): worked in the kitchen, fed our roses, and started a book. Three things I did today: slept in, listened to podcasts and worked out. Now I’m off to check out your links and those brownies because they look TO DIE FOR!!!!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I actually have trouble remembering what I did all.the.time, so you’re definitely not alone there!
Sarah @ Making Thyme for Health
Ah yes, the intro is the hardest part for me too! But I think it’s totally okay for you to start every Link Love post the same. It’s one of those types of posts that’s okay to be casual with. I feel like recipes are supposed to be about a story behind the food and there’s not always a story to tell which can get challenging.
Anyways, don’t stress it because you are an amazing writer, photographer, and baker! 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Awwr thanks so much, Sarah! Hope your week is off to a great start!
Emily
I like familiar openers. Sunday was lovely today! Tonight will be a good night to rest…. 🙂
Sarah
So why not just not do an intro? You seem to struggle with them a lot. I think just starting with “So how’s your weekend been so far?” is great!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Just doing a little bit of thinking out loud, I guess!
Brittany
I’m sorry, you lost me after the brownies. HA!
Cora
Uuh uh pick me!! OK 3 things I did yesterday:
Dive, get sea sick, work on blog post
3 things imma do today:
Dive, hopefully not get sea sick, look out for fireflies 🙂
Cora
Update: I did NOT get sea sick!!! Booooyaaaa!! 😀
Which means the 3 things I did today aaare:
Dive
Scavenger for fireflies
Read a daaang fine book :3
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Haha! Glad to hear you avoided the seasickness — that’s never fun. And a dang fine book!? Deets!

There’s an inkling I’ve said this somewhere [on one of your posts even :)??] before but yes, agreed. I save my intros for last and they occasionally take me longer than any other paragraph in a post. And as it seems most bloggers agree in this point: can’t we just skip them altogether or keep it to a friendly hi!??
Niki @ Life With Niki
I also find it difficult trying to come up with blog intros that are not just ‘Hello, and happy *insert day of the week*’, or ‘I can’t believe it’s *insert day of the week* already!’ ;).
Thank you so so so so much for featuring my post, it means a great deal to me to be able to spread my message out to more people!
You’re the best Amanda <3.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Thanks for such a great post, Niki! And happy Monday to ya 😀

I hate blog intros as well. In fact, I say hello then jump right into whatever’s on my mind. It’s less hassle and more me!
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
Seriously can’t wait to try those chocolate cherry brownies! Have a great rest of the weekend 🙂

You too, girl! Hope you’re having a great time on vacation! 😀
