Happy Sunday, friendly faces! π
How are we liking the time change? It kind of sucks to lose that hour of sleep, but I’m a HUGE fan of the fact that it’ll be staying brighter out longer. The lack of daylight is probably one of the hardest things to deal with in the winter, so having the sun go down at 7:30 instead of 6:30 will be a welcome change. Ask me again in the summer when the sun is still up at when I’m trying to go to sleep at 10:30 and I might be singing a different tune, but for now I’m a happy camper.
And on that note, I hope you can find some things in this week’s Link Love that’ll put a smile on your face. I may be biased, but there are some pretty good reads this week π

Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
Thanks for the link love! π
Totally agree with that Mind Body Green article. I really don’t like when “superfoods” are promoted as the epitome of health because I think it brings elitism to healthy eating. I hate when people think they have to spend a lot of money to eat healthily!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
So very true. It’s so simple to eat a healthy diet and maintain a healthy lifestyle, but people complicate it to the point where it just discourages others from even trying!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
I always find it fascinating when people equate organic with healthy. Like oh, it’s organic so these cheesy poofs must be healthy. Not.
The time change thing: right now I’m missing my hour and want it back. The logical side (alright fine third) of me knows this is a good thing for food photos so I’m going keep my mouth shut (too late) and count my blessings.
Happy Sunday.
Daisy @ Fit Wanderlust Runner
I don’t mind time change and who doesn’t love for sunlight?? Of course I worked all this weekend. I am definitely falling behind in all of my packing duties. Moving is not fun!
Jenn
aww thanks lady! <3 hope you're having a great weekend! xoxo

Losing an hour is always a bummer, but I agree that the extra daylight is SO worth it. I hear birds chirping outside right now too, which makes my heart happy and excited for spring!
I just clicked on so many of these links to read!! Thank you for sharing mineβ extremely honored. β₯
Yesterday: Went to church, sushi dinner with parents, surprised my best friend at work.
Today: Getting ahead on some studying (lame), hitting up Trader Joe’s, and maybe baking!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I opened my window the other day to hear the birds singing as well. Something so small, but it made me ridiculously happy!

As Someone who likes to run in the morning, I really like having early morning sunlight, so that will be missed for a while. I do feel like Daylight Savings time brings the warmth so I don’t mind that part at least!

I’m so glad Arizona doesn’t change time. I like knowing what time the sun will be up all year round. The downside is we get a lot of sun. Right now it’s been light until 6 every night. It’s nice, but I notice I’m having trouble winding down.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
We actually get a ridiculous amount of sun here when it decides to come out. I think it was setting somewhere around 6:30 before the time change, and in the summer it’s still bright out at 10:30… Makes it impossible to sleep!

As excited I am for the longer + sunny days, this initial day is pretty hard this year! I always have weekends off now, so it is fine for me. But for my boyfriend who has to go to work from 7-3.30 today, it is a sad mind game. Kitchen clock hadn’t been moved, and he was sad to see 5:30, when it was actually 6:30! But we will adjust!
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Yum… banana granola! Sounds delicious and VERY addicting!
Bridget
I am SO happy Daylight Savings is finally here! I am ready for more sunshine in the evening!
Three things yesterday: Ran… OUTSIDE, Took my sister and her dog to the vet, and washed MANY episodes of The Waking Dead.
Three things today: Run… OUTSIDE… again, meet a friends new puppy, have dinner at my friend’s house!
Michele @ paleorunningmomma
I don’t like the time change for the first few weeks because it means dark runs for me again! Just when I was getting used to light at 6am. In about a month it’ll be really nice though of course!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Yeaaah I’m not a huge fan of the fact that it takes longer for the sun to come up either, but at least it won’t be -too- much longer before that changes!
