Hello, hello from my favourite place in the world! Also known as “the mountains” 😀
It’s currently late Saturday night and I’m feeling exhausted after a long day of driving and snowboarding, so hopefully the kids that are running up and down the hallways of our hotel tire themselves out soon so that I can get some shut eye. Ohhhhh to be young again 😛
I wish I had something more interesting to say in the way of intros, but I’m literally sitting laying here in bed with one eye open and a brain that flatlined about 20 minutes ago. I hope you guys are having an awesome weekend, and I’ll [hopefully] see you tomorrow with a little recap!

Great links, you’re great at enabling my procrastination 😉
3 things yesterday: Studied; went out for dinner with the boyfriend (barbecue food!); was late for class as per.
3 things today: Going to be making something good for dinner tonight (still undecided); drinking lots of peppermint tea; undoubtedly going to be late again – currently reading blogs in my pyjamas and I’m supposed to be in college in an hour…
Arman @ thebigmansworld
You need to come to Australia. We have snow.
(Well, it’s fake but it’s still snow!)
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Snow is definitely not on the list of reasons that I want to visit Australia 😛
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
This is the second time in a few days where someone is talking about people hating on newbies at the gym, and I find the very idea of this appalling. That’s horrible. We should be supportive and encouraging. A nice gesture or kind word might mean the difference between them making it or throwing in the towel. The very idea of dissuading newcomers or talking negatively about them is just gross. Alright rant over.
Maybe I should focus my energy on my positive things, like Pinterest. 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Right?! I mean… I get the frustration if there are bigger crowds to deal with and a harder time getting the machine you want, but still… what ever happened to common courtesy and respect for our fellow man?!
Lauren @ ihadabiglunch
I love the reasons to love the January gym-goers. We need to support their desires to get a happy and fit life, not act annoyed! The #fitfam can be as big as it needs to be, no exclusions 🙂
In terms of the 5 phrases to give up this year, I’m Sorry is such a huge one! When did that become so common? It should be reserved for times when we’re ACTUALLY sorry about something we’ve done!

I can always count on you to provide me with plenty of good reading material. 🙂
I hope you are resting up today after your beautiful weekend in the mountains. Show us pictures soon!!

That post about ideal blog post length is interesting – I’ve never thought about the length of my posts before! I definitely prefer shorter ones though.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Ditto! I need to work on shortening some of mine.

I so wish I could get away on the weekends! I always feel like I’m running around like crazy getting ready for the work week instead of really enjoying myself. It’s tough having a job! Lol!! Did you get my email? I know you’re busy. Hope we can catch up soon.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I did and I’ll get back to you right away!

Amy @ Mama Running for God
Yesterday I did 4 miles on the treadmill, stretched, went to a women’s Bible study at church, at Japanese food that was cooked for us there (we learned how to make 3 dishes). It was a really great Saturday!
Today we have church, and I am teaching Children’s church, then I have a 3 mile run and some cross training.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Sounds like a really wonderful weekend, Amy!

Glad you’re having an awesome weekend! I think I need to check out those packed lunch ideas- my kids and I need major inspiration.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Packed lunches were always a hard one for me too! I mean… I love almond butter and banana sandwiches, but you can only eat them so many times in a row before you start craving something different.
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Sounds like you’re having a blast! Have a safe trip home!
Liz S.

Sundays are always the big grocery shopping days. My wife cooks and I do the grocery shopping and we are both really happy with this arrangement. Love the mountains too!
