Hello, hello, friendly faces! Happy Sunday to ya
Someone needs to tell me what is going on with the weather up hereā¦ We usually start to feel a little hint of the oncoming winter by this time of the year, but itās been sunny and hovering around 20C (68F) for the past week or so. Is this for real?!? I mean, Iām definitely not complaining, even if ā taking advantage of the gorgeous weatherā meant helping out with the yard work this weekend.
Anywho! Itās that time of the week again where I share some of my favourite links from the past week. I hope you find some good stuff to read, and feel free to add some of your best posts to the linkup at the end!

Three things you did yesterday; three things youāre going to do today. Go!
Yesterday: went to see Gone Girl (Friday night), helped out with yard work, and met some friends for drinks.
Today: going to church, spending the afternoon hiking the river valley, and going over to my parentsā for dinner.

Great links! Iām loving the abundance of pumpkin recipes floating around the web, no such thing as too much pumpkin!
I really want to try that cauliflower recipe ā I love that she adds dijon to it. Thatās such an underrated flavor enhancer!
Lots of great links! Thanks for sharing
Have you ever heard of the rip off Trader Joeās in Vancouver?! Itās called Pirate Joeās and it sells all Trader Joeās stuff, but is not affiliated with itā¦ Itās quite strange, but pretty awesome!
So jealous of your warm weather (WHAT?!) Itās been single digits here since last week. There was one random day when it got up to 20, but it rained all day so I couldnāt even enjoy it. Boo

And thanks for the link love!
WASNāT GONE GIRL SO GOOD??? What did you think??
Saturday (since Iām a day late): looked at apartments, probably got an apartment, bought a new bed
Sunday: nike womenās half marathon SF, went and had lunch in Sausalido, walked the golden gate bridge!
What a topsy turvy state of seasons; we absolutely canāt seem to break away from winter in these parts.. Iām rather longing for summery weather! Long daysā and chill donāt mesh too well you know. Alright, Iām done moaning ā if I could settle the āants in my pantsā and contend myself with reading instead of romping outdoors as though Iām oblivious to the icy wind and the sun will come out for me
. These all sound fabulous enough to snag my interest for abit at least
.
Thanks for the link love girl!
Also, super jealous of your weather! It has been more like 7-10 degrees Celsius here lately. Way too cold for my liking!
3 things I did Saturday: went out for a post-Oktoberfest breakfast with JZ and our friends, played Monopoly, and watched the Leafs game.
3 things I did Sunday: drove back home, went to the Delicious Food Show in Toronto, and spend the rest of the evening in bed with a sugar hangover lol!
hai.
Itās 6.06pm and my eyes are droopy. Fail whale.
Oh whaaat Iām literally opening each of those recipes in new tabs right nowā¦ I canāt wait to see Gone Girl ā Iāve heard itās as good as the book but I canāt quite believe thatās possible ā what did ya think?
how am I just realizing you run TWO link-ups a week? Jesus woman! Where do you find the time?! This post actually saved my life because my bloglovin is OOC (no time!) so Iām just gonna stick to your links. Thanks for making sure I actually get to sleep tonight lol
Oh yum, that chocolate chip oatmeal cookie looks incredible!
Three things you did yesterday; three things youāre going to do today. Go!
Yesterday: Saw Gone Girl (as well!! Loved it! You!?)
went to a craft festival
made Coq au vin
Today: Yoga
shopping
long, brisk walk with my pup
Thanks so much for the kabocha & chocolate chip bar love, lady!
I so love the totally transparent income/traffic reports pinch of yum does every month! So ā what did you think of Gone Girl?
The weather has been warmer here too ā being the cold wimp I am, I am loving it and managed to spend most of yesterday afternoon outside running and cutting grass- yup ā the grass is still growing down here in Atlanta! Today, church and took mom to Ikea and fought over er I meant shared a slice of Ikeaās chocolate overload cake with my daughter and finding Pumpkin Spice Oreoās today!
I have to admit, on the All American Eats: 50 States article, the southern biscuits with chocolate gravy is kinda representative of the state of Arkansas. My mother has told me many stories of making these delights in her kitchen and at her grandparentsā house when she was growing up. Luckily, she only makes them for my house occasionally as they can be very addicting and so so so rich and fattening! Ha! Nothing wrong with a treat now and then.
I have been LOVING this weather. If fall was always like this I could see myself becoming a fan of fall. I donāt want it to end but sadly I know winter will be here soonā¦
As always great list of links, my favorite part are the blogging tips.
Yesterday: filmed a video, made dinner for my family from out of town, and went to homecoming
Today: makeup shopping, halloween tutorial filming, and making dinner again!
Hope you have a great Sunday, Amanda. Our weather has been just as perfect as yours and there is NO way Iām gonna complain! I know the grey is comingā¦

So about that yard work you mentionedā¦I sure could use an extra set of hands, and I do have two rakes.
I have never even heard of Cincinnati chili so Iām not down with Ohioās meal of choice, although I might move to Oregon simply so I could be known for cheese.
Good links! I always love the photography ones as per usual. I canāt believe you donāt like cauliflower! I love it steamed with salt. Itās one of the few things I use the salt shaker (read: Corn, cauliflower, and sliced tomatoes).
How was Gone Girl!?
Those choc chip kabocha bars??? I need them! Such a great idea, and super simple too.
Not to rub it in..but you are definitely missing out with Trader Joeās. Iām obsessed with everything.
3 things I did yesterday: pace a friend on a marathon pace run (yay for friends who are going to qualify for Boston!), eat grilled cheese with jerk pulled pork and tomato soup, and shop for fall clothes!
today: easy 6 mile run, loving the cool, sunny fall weather and the changing leaves! eat breakfast sandwiches, and watch the Browns game!
I think my three things for the weekend will have to be completing the Runnerās World Hat Trick! Heading home now, I will text you later!
Itās been really nice here in Winnipeg too ā but only during the day. Last night we went out to the concert and the wind was so strong and so cold I thought I was going to turn into a popsicle!!
Wowie so much deliciousness in those links today, especially Baked Chocolate Chip Cookie oatmealā¦.off to check it out! Hope you are having a lovely Sunday! Mine has involved coffee with a few friends, attending a talk by a heart doctor on the dangers of excessive exercise and getting myself organised for the week ahead!
Thanks for the link love girlie!! I was so happy to wake up to this ping back
And I totally agree Armanās post on restrictive eating is so smart and Shashiās choc chip/kabocha breakfast bars look amazing. I think our weather is finally supposed to be feeling more like fall now- its been so hot lately iāve had to turn my AC on the last few daysā¦ itās not right. I want real fall weather.
Those pumpkin spice kissed snickerdoodleās sound a bit dangerousā¦. but way too good to not bake!
Yep! I checked out quite a few of those already, and now have some more to go look at! So many good ones, you always know how to pick em. I know how hard it can be to see the TJ posts, hopefully if you keep posting about it, they will put a trial one near you!
