Happy Sunday friendly faces π
How’s the weekend been treatin’ ya? Or the long weekend if you’re lucky enough to be celebrating Memorial Day tomorrow… We had an extra day off last week up here in Canadaland, but most people I know used it to do some work in their gardens, since the first long weekend of May is kind of the unofficial start of planting season, apparently… This is why I opted to live in a condo with only one plant in my home — I’m useless at yard work. But I digress.
Sundays are for rest, relaxation, and link love! Lots of great reads this week, so go ahead and grab a snack, a cup of coffee, and enjoy!

Do you like gardening? No, but I like the smell/feel of dirt.
Three things you did yesterday; three things youβre going to do today. Go:
Yesterday: ran errands, went on a gorgeous trail ride in the river valley, and saw the new X-men movie.
Today: going to church, experimenting in the kitchen, and going over to my parents’ for dinner.

Extremely helpful information specially the remaining section :
) I care for such info much. I was seeking this particular information for a very long time.
Thank you and good luck.
Sarah @ Sweet Miles
Thank you for the shoutout!!! π π
Lindsay
I love all of these links! Thanks for such a great post… lots of information to read!
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
I was supposed to be gardening today. Instead, I’m sitting on a blanket in the backyard catching up on blog reading. It’s rather reaxing, which means I read far too many of these links. A girl’s gotta have some vices, right?!
While I might not get the flower beds cleaned out, I do intend to put in my asparagus and strawberry plants at some point today… er, I mean I hope so. Time (and energy and motivation) will tell.
Davida @ The Healthy Maven
wait we were supposed to spend the monday of VD weekend gardening?!?! I thought it was for drinking? Whoops….Thanks for including me love!
Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
I stink at gardening! I’ve tried planning vegetable plants the past few years and I honestly just kill everything haha.
3 things I did Saturday: picnic with JZ, hiking, and sushi dinner and drinks for my birthday
3 things I did Sunday: made waffles for breakfast, made Moroccan yam and chickpea patties from Oh She Glows, went out for dinner for my (real) birthday
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Whaaaaaat?!? It was your birthday and you didn’t tell us?? ACK! Happy (belated??) Birthday!!
Khushboo
Sooo my birthday is coming up & it looks like I need to find someone to make me those PB mousse cups- they sound heavenly!! I really loved Sam’s update post last week- so incredibly inspiring! The weather was so lovely yesterday so 3 things I did were take a long walk in the park, meet a friend for lunch, and went for drinks in the eve for my cousins birthday!
Arman @ thebigmansworld
The media kit post is so helpful- something il need to tackle this weekend! Loves davidas post on social media, especially because she showed the world her undergarments. Almond joys are delicious….. I thjnk I melted the package I brought back from America in my suitcase…. Still ate them.
Jessie
Heather’s Low Risk, Moderate Risk & High Risk post was awesome, wasn’t it? Heck who am I kidding – all her fitness posts are. Probably one of my favorite series she does.
Tara @ Rovin' Rambler
I loved the link on being bad at yoga…that is definitely me.
Three things I did yesterday: cleaned the house, tried to see Godzilla (sold out), came home and watched another movie instead.
Three things I will do today: morning Skype meeting, start a new freelance project, pack for my trip!
lindsay
i always love your links. So insightful, meaningful, genuine, and delicious. So thank you!!
Victoria
Haha I SUCK at gardening, thankfully I’m back living with my dad for now so I don’t have to do much π
Yesterday I spent all day baking for someone’s 5th birthday party, and I’ve never been this proud of a cake, it turned out pretty epic lol! Today I had an awesome day with my cousins bowling (even though I’m not a big fan of bowling) and having a BBQ.
How was the X-men movie?? It’s pretty high on my list of movies I need to see soon π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
X-men was SO good. I’d go as far as to say that it’s probably my favourite one of them all!
Sam @ Better With Sprinkles
Thanks so much for the link love!!! <3
Annnd thank you for linking up to that video game article, because that makes me feel better about the fact that that's what I'll probably be doing tonight π
yesterday: went shopping…more shopping….and more shopping. Seriously, all day.
today: groceries, laundry, going to the dog park.
dana
Thanks for the share, friend!
Carmy
I feel like there should be a section that’s opposite of link love. I found this link today http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/05/19/drinkable-sunscreen_n_5351851.html I’m in the market for a new running sunscreen but I think I’ll avoid this “drinkable” one!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
π Yeaaaaaaah I think I’ll be sticking to the traditional kind as well.
Conny
Yesterday: went to university from 9 to 5. I was so tired.
Today: did a lot of work for university at home, reading, cooking, sleeping π
meredith @ The Cookie ChRUNicles
I don’t do gardens. Or dirt. Or anything involving either. My son won a plant at the school plant sale raffle and it’s dead already….I don’t remember yesterday but I did just get home from my 10 mile race at the beach – I think I might have even enjoyed the run simply because it is gorgeous out and feeling like summer!
Miss Polkadot
Yardwork … After my parents occasionally forced me to help while still living at home I’ve actually come to embrace it at times. Not that I had a garden now – thank goodness for all the plants I’d kill … – but when I’m at my parents’ and get to willingly help out now I find it oddly relaxing. Planting little bushes and digging in the dirt with my hands is a good way to let go of overthinking for the moment. Hm … maybe I need to look for an apartment with a garden after all?!
No Memorial Day for us tomorrow but Thursday is Ascension Day and therefor off after all so it evens out.
Happy Sunday and expect an e-mail [re: that one ToL post a while ago] soon. Or as soon as is typical for me…
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Hehe oh girl you know I can definitely relate to that! I’ll expect you in a few weeks π
Jo @ Living Mint Green
I really like gardening, but now that I live in a condo it’s going to be confined to a pot or two. Yesterday I ran, ate a lot and watched Girls season 2 in bed. Miss Partypants over here, that’s for sure.
Today, I’m gonna go for a long walk along the Bow River to loosen my legs up! π Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Brittany
I always love the links you share.. gives me great things to read! Thanks for the share again, love! You’re my favorite. I hate gardening… I’d probably rather clean the house. That’s pretty bad.. haha
Three things I did yesterday: went to an interview, worked out with my dad, and went out to dinner!
Three things I’m going to do today: Hmmm… eat (lol), job search, and probably blog π
Have a great weekend!! <3
Cat
I have nooo patience for gardening – but it’s something I want to work on! I love the idea of growing my own herbs and veggies π
Yesterday: Visited the Geffrye museum, drank an un-seasonal hot chocolate, caught up on GoT
Today: Spent silly £££ at the farmers’ market, drew a dog, sat in the park (trying not to burn..)
Happy weekend!
Nichole
Looks like I have some reading to day today! I’m especially looking forward to reading the 3 blogging links you shared. I’m almost wrapping up my 4th month of blogging so still quite the newby and I think all of those are going to be very help! Thanks for always taking the time to put these together! Happy relaxing to you!
Lauren
Howwww did you feel about X-men?! Personally, I LOVED it. Probably one of my favorite X-men movies. The only thing I didn’t like was Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. I mean, she’s DEFINITELY my girl crush but something just seemed off having her covered in blue.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Love, love, LOVED IT. So much so that I’d see it again in a heartbeat. Although I agree about JL… definitely a little strange.
Pip {Cherries & Chisme}
This link love is AWESOME, perfect start to my Sunday morning, thank you π
A trail ride in the river valley? Where was my invite? That sounds heaven!
Yesterday: brunch in the autumn sunshine, went to watch the rugby, lazed in bed with SATC and fell asleep by 10pm…
Today: a LOT of blog reading, a slow run in the sun (feeling a bit under the weather), Spanish homework!
Have a great day π
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Awwr girl I hope you feel better!
Cassie
I do not have a green thumb whatsoever… I once bought my ex-boyfriend a cilantro plant because it was hard to find where he was living… I was so excited to take it out of the package I accidentally ripped it out of the pot and killed it. Cilantro-cide.
Yesterday: Long run, Shopping, went out with Ang!
Today: Made granola, yoga, making bulletproof coffee with a friend!
Megan @ The Skinny-Life
I have a house but my HOA does all the yard work for me. It’s awesome! I don’t have a green thumb at all. It’s good I live in the desert. I can plant a cactus and not water it for weeks without it dying. I’ve been relaxing this weekend. Worked out and shopped yesterday. Today getting a massage.
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
π My mom actually keeps threatening to buy me cactuses since I can’t seem to keep anything else alive. Knowing my luck, I’d probably hurt myself on it.
Caitlyn@BareBalance
First of all: I am in love with that Body Image video. I saw it a few weeks ago from a girl I work with at the studio and nearly cried. BEAUTIFUL message.
Also – I agree; the almond joy bars look so good!
Kim @FITsique
I always love the links you post! Thanks for sharing and have a great weekend!
Kim @ Hungry Healthy Girl
Enjoy your long weekend…. I know I will! Gotta check out that media kit post!
