Well hi there! Happy Sunday D: Whoops… 😀
I think it’s safe to say that winter has finally graced us with its presence. It snowed for pretty much the entire day yesterday, which I can’t be too upset about since I kind of need the white fluffy stuff to snowboard. Speaking of which, that’s what I’m headed off to do today, so I’ll leave you with some great reads to keep you company while I’m gone 😉
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Random question but… what’s the first thing you drink in the morning? Water.
Three things you did yesterday; three things you’re going to do today. Go:
– Yesterday: GoT marathon, coffee with a friend, started Christmas shopping 😯
– Today: church, snowboarding (EEEeeeEEEeE!), dinner with the family.

It’s actually very complicated in this active life to listen news on TV, thus I
just use the web for that purpose, and obtain the newest information.

So happy to see you included the 18 Things article from Thought Catalog! That was such an eye-opener. Motivated me to slow down a little and savor the simple.
Off to read the anxiety piece next!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I seriously miss that slower-paced life… I actually have that article bookmarked so I can check-in every once in a while and remember to do some of those things.
Heather @ Kiss My Broccoli
As always, FABULOUS links, m’dear! LOVED the one on anxiety…definitely things I already know deep down but could use a little reminding of. And the 18 things? YES to all of them!
Thanks so much for sharing my recipe link! I’ve had so many people telling me they’ve made it over the last few days…ahh, so incredibly happy right now! 😀
aimee @ shugarysweets
Thanks for the link love 🙂 And my first drink is always coffee. Always. Then gallons of water. And more coffee….
Jan @ sprouts n squats
First thing I usually drink is either water or berocca. Most of the time it is water, sometimes with some lemon squeezed into it.
So many great links to look at thanks as always for sharing!!
Three things today, a leg workout, cauliflower crust pizza for dinner and getting sunburnt at lunch time on my lunch break.
Chelsea @ Chelsea's Healthy Kitchen
I hope you enjoyed your GoT marathon – that sounds like an awesome way to spend a Saturday! 😀
Yesterday I did a leg workout, went to Toronto, and ate sushi. Today I met a friend for coffee, wrote a blog post, and picked up some stuff at the health food store.
Arman @ thebigmansworld
Thanks for the shout out buddy! I still am in awe your a snowboarder…seriously awesome! hope you have/had? a blast on the slopes today!
I love Holly’s friday posts- except this week’s garlic tea…I’ll make her try that out first before attempting it myself! You NEED to get a crock pot, STAT. Homemade chipotle 😉
Three things today- statistics (vom) some meetings and a caffeine catch up (if time permits argh)
Have a great Sunday 🙂
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
My mom actually used to make those garlic teas for me ALL the time when I was younger — it tastes pretty vile, but it works wonders on colds and flus!
Alexis @ funrunning4life
Always water first thing.
Yesterday: Laundry, lunch with my dad, drinks with some friends
Today: Chopping lots of veggies for food prep, finishing a lesson plan, putting away my laundry (since I obviously just left it folded in the basket yesterday)
Emma (Sweet Tooth Runner)
SNOW!! Aaah so pretty!! I love your Link Love posts! I always end up spending waaay too long perusing them, but love them! Especially that running mantra one…who doesn’t love a good mantra to get them through a hard run?! How’s your running going by the way?? <3
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Slowly and painfully 😆 But I’m enjoying it. I’m still easing my way back into it so it’s more of a walk/run type thing at this point, but I’m getting better 🙂
Meghan@CleanEatsFastFeets
GoT matathon…what? I’m pretty sure you forgot to call me. I would have brought snacks. 🙂
I really enjoyed the 18 things we should be making time for again. As much as I love checking things off my many lists, I know as soon as they become chores to be done, it’s time to sit back and relax for a bit, which is exactly what’s on my agenda for the rest of today. A fire, bad tv, blog reading, maybe some photo editing while doing the aforementioned and definitely some kitty snuggling.
Katherine
I love the ‘close the thigh gap’ article! When I had disordered thoughts, that was something that constantly plagued me! Now I think it’s downright silly!
Okay my Sunday: I helped clean up bags for a Memorial Illumination at my dad’s work (I’ll blog about it later since that sounds utterly confusing), I ran 2.5 miles, I FINALLY got my act together and carved out time to blog today!
And SNOW? WHAT! It’s 90F here in Texas. Please send some this way! Oh, and have a marvelous time on the slopes!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
90?! Holy smokes… it’s currently 8F here. I’d be more than happy to send some snow your way — we have plenty!
Danica @ It's Progression
3 randoms things my Sunday includes: church, baking (a loaf of oatmeal banana bread), and a workout. pretty typical 🙂
hope you have fun snowboarding!!
Alysia @ Slim Sanity
Definitely water! Lots of it.
Great links lady! Thanks for the shares! 🙂 xo
emskiruns
Love the thigh gap article it’s a really interesting take on it that more women should read to understand this hideous trend!
x
Lauren
I love the DIY things! Especially the jarred workouts. And you’re right, you could definitely customize it to recipes, projects, etc. The worst thing I drink in the morning is LOTS of water. Then, it’s all coffee. Ha!
Three things yesterday: Ulta, Chipotle, and baked S’mores cupcakes.
Three things today: I’m not really sure, actually. lol
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Those cupcakes 😯 😯 Can’t even handle how good those look…
shashi @ http://runninsrilankan.com
Golly – I dont believe yall have so much snow already! Yall are a bunch of brave souls to deal with all that white stuff! Couple years ago, we had snow and ice here one night – it kinda stuck around for about 4-5 days and we shut down! The whole city shut down! No kidding! I didn’t venture out of the house till day 5 aka the day of the big thaw!
That life lessons/running article by huff post is awesome!
Thanks for sharing “what chocolate can do for me” I NEED justification for my addiction 😉
Sally’s Baking Addiction’ post on turning her blog into her career was INCREDIBLE -so many good points!!!
Yesterday long-ish run :), caught up on the last 2 episodes of Nashville and trip to the vets 🙁
Today, running shoe shopping, church and long walk – if the rain lets out!
Hope you have a blast snowboarding!
Nicol
First thing I drink in the morning: Either water or coffee.
Three things I did yesterday: Made soup, watched Ghostbusters (amazing movie!), updated my blog design (yay!)
Three things I’m doing today: Cleaning my condo, meeting a friend for lunch, resting since I’m sick
This is an awesome compilation of articles! I’m especially excited to read the ten natural cold cures. Very fitting since I’m battling a cold/flu right now. Happy Sunday!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Oh noes! I hope you feel better soon, girl! When it comes to the cold curing article, my mom used to boil milk with a clove of garlic crushed into it, add a spoonful of honey, and make me drink it down. I’m not going to pretend it was the most pleasant thing to drink, but it definitely helped get rid of my colds a lot faster!
Alex @ Kenzie Life
Awesome links! I’ve read several and love them! Yay for snow! We’re supposed to get some here soon but the mountains have already been open for snowboarding and skiing. I really wanted to go up to Vail over Thanksgiving because there’s an awesome German hotel that has the best breakfast 🙂 Three things I did yesterday: made muffins, did a million practice problems for one-way anovas, and watched Grey’s Anatomy with my best guy friend. Today: more statistics, hopefully go for a run, more statistics.
Becky @ Olives n Wine
Definitely water, lots of water. Yesterday: Target, Lunch Date with Corned Beef and Whole Foods/Sephora. Today: Walk, Body Pump and time with the fam 🙂

It is supposed to be 85* here today. You have no idea how jealous I am of your snow. Go play in it for me? 🙂

Lucie@FitSwissChick

Melissa
First thing i drink in the morning is definitely coffee! I look forward to it each day!
Heather Murphy
Thanks for the link love pretty lady! I loved the article on closing the thigh gap. I don’t know when and why that became the picture of perfection, but it’s ridiculous! I’ve never had the thigh gap and never will! Water should be the first thing I drink in the morning, and sometimes it is, but I can barely move before I’ve had coffee. Have fun today girl!
Erin @ The Almond Eater
Great links, Amanda! The snow looks so pretty, though I’m not sure if IIII am quite ready for it yet. Have fun snowboarding!
Liz @ I Heart Vegetables
I loved that article from HuffPo, 10 Common Mistakes That Prevent You From Being Happy and Healthy. They had some really great points! (And a good reminder I need to stop and breathe!)
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
I’ve been setting alarms in my phone to remind me to stop and breathe throughout the day — it actually makes a huge difference!
Davida @ The Healthy Maven
If only we could all be like Sally’s Baking Addiction! Thanks for sharing such awesome links love. Have fun snowboarding!
Miss Polkadot
Tea without a second thought needed. I can’t drink water right away these days because it seems too cold (?) in fall/winter.
Three things I’ll do today: prep food, write a letter, spend time with my dad who’s visiting me.
Happy Sunday and have fun in the snow!
Amanda @ .running with spoons.
Have a great time with your dad!
